"Well, now Emma would think you would do nothing but smile! She's only going to pick on you, and maybe force you to leave this school..," Anne huffed, scolding me.
We were at a school pond and relaxing.
"It's my first time getting bullied! ... Not that I'm proud of it or anything... I just don't know what to say!" I retorted. "Poppy said she was bullied also!"
"How does that relate to Emma's fox - like bullying? No kid or parent likes "Bully to kids - Innocent to Adults" personality! Students say Poppy left her old school because of bullying! You don't want that, do you?"
I opened my mouth, about to protest when I closed them again. Anne was right. I didn't want to leave the school... But what could I do? Just stand there and mutter "Okay Emma," whenever she bothers me? Instead of retorting, I turned to Cima who was quiet all this time.
"Cima? How about you? Do you think Emma will pick on you and me?"
"Uhmmm... Maybe?" Cima replied, her gaze distant.
I could tell that Cima was definitely nervous about Emma.

The only friend I had currently in advisory was a girl named Crystal. She was one of the "Popular Girls" in 6th grade. Shel had told me that everybody in the grade hated Emma.
~Flash Back~
"You know, Kelly? Everybody hates Emma. She's so bossy and does everything she wants!" Crystal exclaimed, glancing at Emma, who was now singing on the top of her lungs.
"Really?" I asked, hopeful to know that EVERYBODY hated her.
"Really. I mean, everybody practically refuses her!"
~Flashback End~
All of my friends in other classes obviously wanted me to talk back to Emma when she said mean things to me, but honestly, whenever Emma spat words at me I couldn't remember anything else but to ignore her. But I knew her weakness. Partly. She always only said
"You Bit*h". (In korean "지랄한다)
So maybe I could say, "Maybe you should go to the hospital, Emma. You only know how to say "You Bit*h."
Or, maybe I could mimic her voice and follow what she just said!
"Melody..? Melody?! Melody!"
I snapped back from my thoughts as Maggie screamed my name.
"What?"
"A bird is in the 4th floor middle school!"
"Really?" I asked, surprised. But then, as my brain prosseced the thought, I realized being surprised about this was stupid. "But there's a bird ALWAYS stuck in the 4th floor. It once landed on top of my head!"
Maggie giggled. "Not that bird, the other one!"
I was walking around the school pond, during the Friday fun time (Having fun with advisories during Friday after lunch).
Maggie had nicknamed poor Joel "bird", because of the way he talked forever, annoying other students nearby.
"What's that gotta do with me?" I asked.
"Well, because he picked his nose and showed his booger to his classmate! He has the booger-touch!"
I wrinkled my nose is disgust.
"Ugh. Why'd he do that?"
"I don't know!"
I quickly walked away from Maggie, hoping to plunge down in thoughts again. Just then, I spotted Sophie squatting down towards the pond, cupping tadpoles in her hands. She was very childish, a bit... stupid, to be honest, and stuck around with Jennifer, Ally, Dahlia, Bella, Poppy, Anne, Irene and me. This was our group, one of the very few groups who didn't speak swear words in Korean.
