Blanche's POV: "Miss Peregrine, you requested to see me?" I asked as I slowly opened the door to her study, closing the door quietly, "That I did Miss Wilson. I have a feeling that Abe's grandson is here on the island . Looking for us." The darkly clad mistress turned from the window, a smile resting on her lips, "I have received a letter from Abe. He's out there, I am sending the others of our kin to retrieve him. I would like to request that you stay behind, here, to be someone remotely close to him." The mistress said looking closely at my reaction. "Now do not think because you are not going with them that I respect you any less, Miss Wilson, for I do not. I respect you just as much as the others. I believe that Abe's grandson will find comfort in your presence." I nodded as Miss Peregrine dismissed me.

Miss Peregrine's POV: "Ah, Jacob, right on time." I said looking up from my pocket watch as I stuck my hand out for him to shake. After the handshake I led him back toward the courtyard. "We're what you call 'peculiar'. " I began as he looked around the yard, "It's a recessive gene carried throughout families." I explained as he continued to look around. Fiona ran up to me, out of breath, "30 second late Fiona." I chastised the young girl "Sorry, Miss Peregrine." she said as she ran toward the garden, "I'll leave you on your own to explore. When you're ready ask one of our own to escort you to my study." And with that I left toward my study.

Blanche's POV: I looked up from the book in my hands, seeing a shadow cover the book page. "Jacob?" I asked, as the blue-eyed boy nodded, "What's your peculiarity?" He asked as he helped me to my feet, "He never told you, did he?" I asked, looking at the boy, he shook his head, I sighed sadly. I motioned him to step back as I stood "Will you catch me when I fall?" He nodded as I felt myself exit my body, he quickly moved to catch my fallen limp body. "Blanche?" Jacob said quietly, "Blanche!" He called out, smiling down at him I gently let my translucent feet touch the ground. "Jacob." I called softly as the bewildered boy turned, still clutching my limp body in his arms. "Could you set my body down?" I asked sheepishly, "I can't enter my body again until it's on the ground." I explained as he nodded and set the body down. Closing my eyes I laid down upon my physical body, re-entering my form again. Brushing off my dress, and standing up, I picked up my book I looked back toward Jacob. "Come on, Miss Peregrine is expecting you." I said, as I returned into my body began to walk toward her study, he ran to catch up.
