Jacob's POV: I sat down on one of the old, dusty couches in Miss Peregrine's study while Blanche entered a small kitchen area to prepare a pot of tea. "You see Jacob, we are someone called peculiar, throughout history many have popped up, often mistaken for gods by the native people." Miss Peregrine began as she pulled out a big, leather bound book, and sat on one of the couch's arm. Blanche re-entered the room with a tray of steaming hot tea. First offering it to Miss Peregrine and then me. "Thank you." I replied quietly as she gave me a fleeting smile, and headed toward the door. "Would you care to stay, Miss Wilson?" Miss Peregrine asked looking up briefly, "No thank you, Miss Peregrine." She denied, as she slipped out the door. "You must forgive her, Jacob. She was one of the first of my kin, therefore holds much responsibility." Miss Peregrine said as she started again on the history of peculiars.

Blanche's POV: I slowly made my way toward my room, that I shared with Claire, and closed the door. Walking over to the small brown box, sealed shut with tape, I slowly began to peel the tape off, showing the boxes contents. I dipped my hand into the pile of paper, shuffling them around until my hands found a small folder. Smiling, slightly, I unfolded the folder revealing pictures of the time Abe had spent with us. Tears began to collect in the corner of my eyes at the sight of his young, care-free eyes and cocksure smile. I could still hear his cocky voice saying "Why you worrying? I'll come back, I promise, just like last time." A bitter smile made it's way onto my lips, he had said that over 30 years ago, before he left. But never had I expected my best friend to fall to the hollows.
