Always Arcades

Chapter Four

>Keith's POV<
I kept my gaze on the floor,exiting the arcade as quickly as I possibly could. With each step I shook,the lion now gone from my arms,and I felt vulnerable again.
I climbed up into the truck,not saying a word. I flicked through the radio stations as I waited for Shiro,but he seemed to be looking for something...or someone.
Raising an eyebrow,I ignored it. I turned my attention to the radio,before finding a song that I finally liked. Turning up the volume quite a bit,I nodded my head along to 'Crazy Train" by Ozzy.
Finally,I saw that Shiro was gone,and I instantly froze. I whipped my head around to look out of the back window,but he wasn't standing there. My first reaction was to lock the doors,and that's exactly what I did. As I heard the locks click I pulled my knees to my chest,my breaths starting to quicken. Where was he,and where did he go? Maybe he was back in the arcade?
I shut my eyes tight,thinking. After a few minutes of silence I opened the truck door,shakily climbing out and closing the door behind me. Step after step I got closer to the arcade,trying to find the white of Shiro's hair,or the scar that ran across his nose.
I pushed open the doors to the arcade and instantly spotted him. But he was talking to three others...and one of them was Lance.

>Shiro's POV<
"...don't think you have to freak out. You said that you knew you weren't straight,so this isn't that much of a problem..." I looked at Lance,studying his features. So this was the boy that had danced against Keith.
At the sound of the doors opening I turned,and spotted Keith standing there. Letting out a soft sigh I walked over to him,carefully taking his hand and leading him to the group. I could feel he was shaking and frowned.
"Keith,I'm sorry that I left you out there." I apologized,but he gave his usual nod of acceptance. I smiled,before stopping in front of the trio again.
"Guys,this is Keith. Keith,this is Hunk,Pidge,and Lance." I let go of his hand,smiling up at everybody.
Lance seemed to hide his eyes,using his flannel to keep them out of sight,and I couldn't help but let out a light laugh.
"Hey,how about you guys come over today?" Hunk asked with a sort of glow in his eyes. "It wouldn't hurt to get to know each other!"
"Of course,Hunk." I replied with a nod,my hand moving to my keys. "You just lead the way and we'll follow."
And with that,I grabbed Keith's hand,and followed the three outside into the parking lot.

>Lance's POV<
I hopped up into the yellow truck,a soft glare visible in my eyes. Pidge scrambles into the back seat,holding back her giggles of delight. Hunk got into the driver's side,giving me an apologetic look.
"Lance,I'm sorry. But they really do seem like nice people!" He exclaimed as he started up the truck. I just huffed in response,arms crossed.
"Nah,Lance is just scared to see his boyfriend~" Pidge teased,and I turned my head and glared at her.
"That Keith Colgate is not my boyfriend! His eyes were not red!" I snapped,before returning my attention to the window. I heard the two start to laugh. "Why are you laughing,guys?!"
"It's Kogane,Lance. Not Colgate." Hunk chuckled,pulling up in front of the house. He turned off the truck and watched as Shiro's black truck pulled up behind us.
"And Lance,you didn't even look at him. So you don't know if his eyes-"
"BUT YOU DO!" I whipped around,grabbing his shoulders. "Hunk,were his eyes red or not?! I NEED TO KNOW!" I exclaimed,shaking him.
"That's for us to know." Pidge smirked as she hopped out of the truck. She jumped up towards the front door,unlocking it before pushing it open. There was a bark,and soon a small dog ran out of the door. "Hey Rover!" She laughed.
I let go of Hunk's shoulders and pouted,before pushing the truck door open. I climbed out and slammed it behind me,before walking over towards Shiro's truck.
I leaned against the truck bed,looking at Shiro,who stood on the other side. "So,what type of truck is this?" I asked,biting my lip. I could feel my eyes slowly changing color now.
Shiro opened his mouth,but a voice came from inside of the truck,and the door opened. "Dodge." Keith's voice came,before the boy emerged from the truck. He closed the door and looked at the ground,refusing to look up. I raised my eyebrows but couldn't hide a smile. "What year is it?"
"2013"
"Interior?"
"Leather."
"Lifted?"
"Yes."
I smiled softly as I stood up straight. I turned,shoving my hands in my pocket. "Lifted Dodge,eh?" I chuckled. I started towards the house. "Oh,and thanks for the lion plushie. It's cute." I pulled at my flannel,and revealed the blue lion plush. I looked at it and smiled more,before nodding my head towards the house. "C'mon,make yourself at home."
I walked up into the house,Rover barking and jumping at my feet. I laughed and brought him inside,turning my head to look at Keith.

I sat down on the couch,crossing my legs as I watched the weather. Thunderstorms predicted for the evening. Great.
I pushed myself up out of my seat,clicking on the radio. I tapped my foot along to the beat of Havana,twirling and swaying to the beat. I saw Pidge recording and flipped her off,before humming and continuing my dance. However,I soon had to stop as the music changed. When I opened my eyes and turned my head,I saw Keith,frozen next to the radio.
"What is this crap?" I snorted as I crossed my arms,jutting a hip out to the side. "You listen to this? Willingly?"
Keith folded his arms over his chest,though a sort of fear seemed to take place. He flinched and looked at the stereo,refusing to even look at me. "Yes,I do."
"But you can't dance to country! It is the worst genre in the world."
"Oh yeah?" He finally lifted his head,and my heart stopped. His eyes were red...
He walked to the middle of the room,tapping his foot to the beat. I looked at the song title.
'That's My Kind Of Night' by Luke Bryan?
Sounded stupid.

But for some reason,I couldn't take my eyes off of him as he danced.
