Triple Dare

40 3 4

Go on, darling,
Dare me.

If you dare me, I'll just grin.

I'll cup my hands
And the sea

Will bubble from within

The creases of my
Fingers

And we both will wonder how.

The strangest power
Lingers

In my daring fingers now.

~*~*~

Go on, dearest,
Dare me.

If you dare me, know surprise

Will perch upon your
Tongue, be

The glimmer in your eyes

When fire springs
From my palms,

Rasping out its broken coo,

Feeding off of
Your qualms,

Feeding off of you.

~*~*~

Go on, precious,
Dare me.

If you dare me, I shall nod.

Eyelids falling
Soundlessly.

Silence falling, awed.

Shadows at my
Weary feet

Will be at my feet no more.

I will coax the
Dark sheet

From upon the walls and floor.

I will sculpt an
Animal

From the liquid-fabric-yolk,

Filling your
Peripheral

Vision like a cloak.
