ah me
opulence!
the gilded greens
and silvered mints

old sun
retreating now
to such society
he bows

woah, woah
silly mare!
disrupts the flora
in my hair

moonbeam
illustrious
we let her peek
and dine with us

to us! cheers!
a sparkling crowd
and old disputes
are disavowed

a wave
some sovereign's pale hand
this glade becomes
everyone's land!

crystal bubbles
fizz click snap!
giddy sips and
tips of caps

a toast!
another! glasses up!
glossy lips to
glistening cup

and when
the glade is emptying
over lakeside
carriages sing

ripples
from each spindle spoke
racing, spilling
go the feyfolk

see, see!
dragonfly
gallivanting
sharing sky

there, there!
lilypad
ballroom dances
to be had

touch down
i alight
firefly lanterns
ignite

strike up!
gather slow..
each pair of hands
with string and bow

take mine
pass them on
partner to partner
'til moon is gone

open air!
cool lake breeze!
twirling through
waterlilies

where've i gone?
i've lost myself
in the shining crowd
of song and elf!

neverending
the night goes
wild through my hair
and in my toes

titles
are left behind at dark
can you name me?
the Marsh Monarch!
