The start of the search showed up things she had never dreamt she would be able to find. The internet is an incredibly powerful tool when utilised correctly.

She settled into her chair, her eyes eagerly reading through the page, darting back and forth. He had died in 1854, a mentally unstable man though still living in his large white mansion. His wife had run off with one of the workers on the cotton fields.

The further she read the sadder his story got, she felt no empathy for him however.

He had it all coming, she thought to herself with a slight smile.

His basic documents of birth and death were there but Morgandy couldn't find his family tree. Which was most important, she liked knowing he had died without anyone but she needed his family tree. She started to think back to that time in her life.

--

An impatient incessant knocking interrupted her thoughts and Morgandy wondered idly how long the person had been knocking.

"Come in, if you dare." She yelled out across the room, smiling as the door clicked open. Closing the lid of her computer she quickly swung around in her chair, looking at the impatient knocker. She was shocked to see the school's receptionist, she still couldn't remember her name, standing at the door's threshold. Morgandy greeted her with a raised eyebrow, not standing from her chair.

"What brings you here?" She said accusingly, memories of the receptionist ripping through her belongings shuffling through her mind. The receptionist took a step backwards before speaking.

"You are wanted in the hall, final drivers tests are being sat." She tried a smile but came out with a wobbly frown then walked out of the room. Morgandy had been waiting for this for a while. It would certainly help her get into London at night and on weekends. The school had a program to get your license. She knew the rules of the road back to front but having failed the test twice she had realised she might need get a few of the newer rules straight. They had continued to change and develop over the years.

Morgandy quickly began changing into a cropped top and tracksuit pants, topping it off with high top sneakers and ran quickly through the halls. It was eerily quiet in the halls, Morgandy hadn't looked at the time for a while. She walked through the doors of the hall not long after. Desks had been set out in front of the raised platform in the hall with computers on each desk. There was a 50 question multiple choice theory test followed by a hazard perception test , all completed on a computer. She sat down at the back row, fully intending to cheat of the person next to her until she saw Labrador sit there. They narrowed their eyes at each other and effectively turned away, or not. Maybe I'll pass this by myself.

They were handed the test and as Morgandy looked through it, she noticed the questions were all fairly easy. She sideways glanced out of the corner of her eye at Labrador to see her shaking her shaggy fur back and forth as she read the questions. Morgandy shrugged, a slight chuckle escaping her lips.

She filled the test out quickly, not looking up once until she was finished. Most of the other people in the hall were still struggling through the middle section as she put her arm up signalling she was done. Glances were exchanged, even after what had felt like such a long time she was still the unnatural weird new girl. In some instances it infuriated her but sometimes it was equally amusing, she couldn't decide if she wanted the reactions to stay or not. Her marks in school always sat within the B range, not smart enough to draw attention but not low enough to warrant extra help or attention so it may have been a surprise that she finished this test first.
