Friends Or More? ( x reader )

•Chapter Five•

Sarada knew she got caught up, so she might as well tell the truth instead of making up excuses.

She sighs as she began to explain nervously. "I was....watching you guys..observing I guess." She sheepishly said.

You raise a brow and lean close to her. You looked at her strangely and saw sweat forming above her head. Sarada then slouches.

'Observing? What does she mean by that? Is she trying to take notes of our skills for the chunin exams or something?'

"Why observe us?" Boruto said.

Sarada suddenly stood up straight and her face quickly became serious when she walked towards you.

You perked slightly when you saw her mood change quickly and locked eye contact with you for a few seconds.

'She's probably angry that I almost got her with the kunia' you thought while nervously smiling.

"Yes, I watched the entire time, I admit..but if you'll let me, I'll help you train. If an idiot like, Boruto can aim a kunai then so can you!" 

Her words smacked you in the face, you slouched towards the ground, disappointed when she made it seem like you were weak.

Boruto bursted out laughing when he saw how you reacted to Sarada's offer but paused when he heard his name mentioned in it.

Boruto gritted his teeth and glared at Sarada. "Why you gotta bring me up like that??!!" He growled

She glared back at Boruto. "Shut up, you were a good example in my offer anyway."

And just like that it started a big argument that lasted for a while. You lowered your eyes and watched them argue back and forward for some reason since you didn't know what else to do. It sorta made you feel angry..no not angry, it's hard to explain what you were feeling.

"They get along don't they?" A voice behind you said.

You screamed loudly in shock and fell back on your bottom.

Boruto and Sarada flinch and quickly turned to you when they heard you scream.

You rubbed your head and look up slowly. A pale boy with light blue eyes and a small ponytail behind his head.

"Oh hey it's, Inojin!" Boruto cheerfully said, completely forgetting about the argument.

"Inojin?.." you mumbled

Inojin gives You all a fake smile. "Don't think I'm your friend only cause I'm here." He taunted
(If you guys don't know, Inojin was rude during the first episodes of boruto)

That slightly triggered your anger. "Don't worry Im sure we didn't think of that anyway." You murmured

"(Name)! Don't say that, there parents our friends with ours and I'm sure they won't be happy about this so just ignore him." Sarada mentioned

You stood up and pat the dust off your clothes. "So? I don't know about you guys but I'm not letting anyone talk to me like that."

"Okay, enough guys." Boruto said while motioning his hands. He then turns to Inojin and gives him a strange look. "It seems that we're running into everyone today."

"What are you doing here anyway?" You say with an annoyed tone in your voice

"I come here to train too." Inojin replied

"you really put training aside to creep up behind me and randomly say something?."

Inojin looks at you. "I heard people arguing and it distracted me from my training, I decided to go see what it was."

Inojin then starts walking up to you and leans close to your ear. "I can't help but notice the way you starred at, Sarada and Boruto while they were arguing." He whispered with a smug look in his face. 

Yours eyes widen. Your whole face turns into to a deep red. You voice was shaky and sentences were unclear.

"W-WHAT? I-ITS NOT LIKE TH- WHAT AM I EVEN SAYING??" You stuttered nervously as you motioned your hands sheepishly.

Sarada and Boruto looked at each other all confused then back at you.

"There she goes, being all weird again." Boruto said.

Inojin laughs. "Well I think I should get going now." he than began to walk away in the distance.

"Well now that that's over with I'll show you how I do it." Sarada said as she pulled out a kunai.

You and boruto were behind her as you both watched her skills in action. You watched her closely on the way she stood when she prepared to throw it.

Sarada then throws her kunai and aimed right in the center without breaking a sweat. You weren't even surprised. She is the daughter of, Sakura Haruno and Sasuke Uchiha Anyway.

"Woah!"

You turn to boruto and saw how amazed he was by it. You lowered your eyes and look away.

Sarada smiles, knowing she set a perfect example on how to aim it smoothly.

She hands you a kunai. "Here, now you try."

You lowered your head, looking at the kunai deeply. Your thoughts started to consume your positive ones. You didn't want Boruto to see you fail.

You put all your concentration in this one shot. You adjusted yourself as you were about to throw.

Finally, you throw the kunai and close your eyes, not wanting to know where it aimed at.

"You actually did pretty good" sarada said

You quickly looked up and saw the kunai aimed close to the center like Boruto's.

"She picked it up quick" Boruto said.

"You learn fast" Sarada said as she smiled.

Finally it was time to call it a day. Sarada and Boruto head home. Once you got home you head up stairs and shut yourself in. You drop yourself on your bed. You thought about the way Boruto looked at Sarada when she aimed her kunai.

'Why am I even thinking of this?' You questioned yourself.

Eventually you fell asleep.
