"Hi."

The best kind of "Hi"s always come unexpected. You start off the day as usual, you wake up and yawn a couple of times, look at the same old dull alarm clock by the bedside, 6.45 A.M. Do a simple stretch and shuffle your feet on the cold floor into the toilet. Grab the same toothbrush you have been using for months and start brushing like you always do. Gaze into the mirror to see the same old face, tired from the previous day's work but the bills ain't gonna pay themselves. Take a quick, hot shower to feel somewhat refresh, throw on some clothes that is probably isn't ironed but only one word comes into mind, "Meh".

You take the same bus, travel down the same route on a different day that feels exactly the same. Slog into the office while the mind wanders off into a beautiful paradise, only to be broken within seconds by all the grumpy blank faces you have been looking at for the past 2 years. Slump down on the creaky office chair that feels so damn uncomfortable and start tapping away at the keyboard due to the never-ending pile of work, scrap that, ever-growing pile of work for a wage that is a complete joke. Yes, that has been my life. A boring routine of boring work facing boring people. Boring.

Amidst all the click clack of the keyboard, I look up at the clock. 8 P.M. Curses and swears start filling up what is left of my mind after a numbing 10+ hours of work. Scanning the office while I pick up my pack and started walking to the balcony for a quick breather.

"Hopefully cancer kills me before this work does" I thought to myself with a snigger as an orange glow radiated through the night. "Might as well call it a day, and finish it up tomorrow." my thoughts carry on as though they have a mind on their own. As I take my few final puff of death wish, I packed up my bags and left the office, leaving the zombies to carry on click clacking on their keyboards.

A low growl emerge from my stomach, and I felt as though my feet had a mind on their own, walking down the nearest street to find some takeaway. Walking through rows and rows of stores, I still couldn't decide to eat, usually not one to be a picky eater, but I was so hungry I wanted to chow down on everything.

Pizza. I have decided, I wanted Pizza. I walked hurriedly as my mind started doing calculations to the nearest pizza place I know like a GPS, the first unexpected thing happened.

"BANG"

As loud and deafening as it was, I was too hungry to take a second glance at the accident that just occurred across the street. All I could think of was, " Pizza and note to self, never try to beat a red light, but it was more of what pizza should i get. Pepperoni? Hawaiian? Spicy Chicken? Yeah, Spicy Chicken. Hahaha. "

As I made the last turn that is standing between me and delicious hot piping Pizza, crediting my finely honed ninja skills, I managed to avoid crashing into one of the bystanders bewildered by the crash that happened seconds ago. It felt like time stood still while I made a very quick glance at my "assailant". Long dark hair flowing like the Nile River, pale white skin that glittered in the moonlight, lips dipped in rubies from a thousand lost treasure and eyes chalked with a touch of perfect hazelnut brown. There she stood, the jealousy of a thousand goddesses. There I stand, overwhelmed simply by her beauty.

"Hi"

Was all i could manage in my mind, as I felt myself walking away, bathing in self loathe on how cowardly I am when it comes to making the first move during situations like this. Like I mentioned, the best "Hi"s always come unexpectedly, but hey, I expected myself to chicken out so yeah. I'm still looking forward to my pizza though, a man's gotta eat.
