I swear I'm going to have a heart attack very soon. I pressed forward, with each step my feet felt heavier and heavier. "I am a brave boy.. guy.. man.. whatever. I'm brave" I muttered them like a prayer under my breath as I inch forward closer to her. I could feel my shirt getting tighter and damper. " Oh my goodness, I'm gonna look like a complete fool when I reach there" I sweated as my thoughts got all jumbled up like an earpiece in a pocket.

She looked dazed, as though she was lost. Her gaze target-less, staring into thin air. "Was she lost? Does she need help? Oh my god, I could help!" I couldn't hide my cheeky grin any longer. I cleared my throat as I was approaching her.

5 steps..
4 steps..
3 steps..
2 steps.. Holy shit this is nerve wrecking..

" He..hey..ey... Uhhh.. I noticed that.. uhmm.. uhh.. you uhh... hahahaha.. look kinda.. uh lost? Are you lost? " As I slowly gain back composure while facing this absolute beauty that even the Goddess Aphrodite would be jealous of. " Uhmm, if you need directions, I would be happy to give them" I babbled, trying to hard to recall the language I have used nearly 24 years of my life.

She looked shocked. Eyes wide open, while taking in a big breath of air kind of shock. As I tried to put on the friendliest smile I can, my heart sank as I can't help to think : " Oh my god, my ugly looks have scared her. God send help please".

"If you aren't lost, ha ha, sorry to have bothered you... Actually I uhm.. I can't help but.. uhh.. notic..."

"No"

My heart sank. Sometimes it's amazing how the softest of "no"s can deal the biggest of impact. But its alright. Never regret what you have done, only regret what you have not done. At least I can tell myself I tried. As I take a final peek at my Goddess, I slowly turned my feet as I begin to mope away.

"Actually.."

I spun around faster than you can say "Hippopotamus" . A change of heart? A second chance? Maybe I'm not as ugly as I thought I am?

"What I meant was, no I'm not lost" She carried on, with a hint of shyness in her words.
"But, this may be too much to ask from a stranger but could you help me deliver a letter to a certain address? If you are busy, its okay, I can ask someone else..."

As she murmured on, I could see a pale pink blush appearing on her smooth skin. How could anyone reject a request from such a damsel in distress?

"Yea sure sure, I'm pretty free tomorrow, or in fact any day that you need the letter delivered actually." I joked.

Her lips curled into a shy smile. My heart melted like cheese in a fondue. I knew that this was my chance, I could help her with this errand, then maybe afterwards I could ask for a date or two, and if it goes well, we can progress from there... My head started forming all sorts of plans, while i stood there grinning like an idiot.

At this point I start to notice some weird stares shot out by passer-byes. I quickly hid my smile, and shrugged it off. It was probably me smiling like a pervert and people were worried, but who cares? They are just jealous I had the courage to introduce myself first.

"So uhm, where do you need the letter delivered to?"

"I sorta dropped my letter at a car mechanic, WorkMechanics Pte Ltd. Do you know where's that?"

I nodded like a fool while she carried on.

"Just inform the person working there that you will be collecting a letter found in a Red Mercedes plated SKL7100F. Afterwards, if you could kindly delivery it to 100 Cascadence Park #03-69, I would be deeply grateful."

"Yeah sure, so its uh.. SKL7100F and 100 Cascadence Park #03.. Sorry uhm, could I have your number so you know in case I forget a detail or two I could just drop you a text or something?" I responded, pray ever so hard that I could get her number. Oh my god please please please!

"Hmm, yeah sure"

And in the blink of an eye, my phone was out with the dial pad ready on screen. As she mumbled the numbers, I keyed it in with trembling finger.

"So how should I address you?"

"Cheryl, and sorry that I took so much of your time. Really thank you in advance, I am very grateful." She said with a bow.

"Oh its alright! No worries, my pleasure!" I replied happily. "Hope I'll see you soon!" I exclaim as I turn to walk away. Maybe I said it a little too loud as some passer-byes are giving off some weird look, but I couldn't be bothered. This might very well be the very best day I had in years!

I turn my head to look back, hoping to catch a glance of her one more time, but she had left already. Cheryl. I recalled in my head. That's a pretty sweet name.
