Hmm did I come at an inappropriate time? I glanced down at my watch, 4.30 P.M. Pondering whether should I just leave the letter under the door. No, if Cheryl wanted me to deliver it, it must mean that the receiver should receive it personally. I was determined to do a perfect job, so that she would she that I am responsible. Heh.
"Hey Cheryl, I'm outside the apartment now, but now one seems to be home. Should I come back another day to deliver it?"
*Bzzz* Wow she really is 24/7 on her phone
"I'm sorry but it's really important that she receives it personally, if it's not too much trouble.. I'm really sorry and once again extremely grateful"
"Hey it's my pleasure! And since I'm kinda free for the day, was wondering if you wanna grab dinner with me. I can go find you where it's convenient for you."

"Hmmm sure! Meet me back at the same street where we 1st met? But I can only be there at around 8 P.M, it's that alright?"
"Sure! Of course! See you then! :) "
My heart was racing, oh my god, I got a date! Okay maybe not a day, but dinner is good too, its progress. I took a glance at my outfit, yeah I can probably do better.
I rushed home, and took a warm nice shower, all the while thinking where should I bring Cheryl for our very first "date". Hmmmm, I do recall this pretty good European cuisine bistro just nearby from where I met her. Alright then its settled! I scanned through all my clothing once again, tossing out everything like a sophomore girl going on a date with the coolest jockey in school.
"Don't wanna over-dress, don't wanna under-dress, arghh" I was getting annoyed. It's has been long since I last went on a date. HAH! I threw on a casual dark blue top with some denim jeans, finalized with a black bomber jacket. I styled my haired, okay I look like a complete ass, and washed it off again. I'm getting butterflies in my stomach! I thew on my boat shoe, okay guys, you have to know, beside my formal shoes for work and only have one other pair of shoes, go on just laugh, and left the house, heart pumping with excitment.
7.45 P.M Hmm I should be early. As I paced down the familiar streets towards what I would call my favorite corner in the world right now, I sets my sights on the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Her long black hair coupled with a silky white dress that sashayed in the wind. At this point in time, I swear my heart stopped for a moment to take in the sight with me. Beautiful right now would be a serious understatement.
"Hey Cheryl! Wow! You look really, uhmm, beautiful in that dress!" I stammered, semi blushing.
"Thanks, uhhmm, sorry I didn't get your name earlier.."
"Jace. Hahaha" Oh sweet Jesus in heaven, how could I have not introduced myself. I could sense a butterfly immigration in my stomach right now.
"That's a nice name, Jace." She replied with the cutest smile ever.
"I know of this nice restaurant just a couple blocks down, european cuisine, you alright with that?"
"Sure"
As we walked towards our destination, we made small talks as I tried my best to make her laugh a little. Momma always told me, " The way to a girl's heart is to make her laugh, and food. Yes, laughter and food. " I always kept that in my mind. Along the way, people were shooting glances at us. Damn right they should look, I'm with Miss Universe right here and all of them should be jealous!
"Table for two please!" I told the host at the door. As he directed us to our table, I felt a slight tug at my arm. "Hey, but could we sit at that corner instead?" She politely ask while pointed to a rather secluded corner in the premises. Upon my request, the host then brought us to our table and handed me a menu. As though she read my mind, just as I was about to ask for a second menu for her, " Its alright Jace, I'm not really that hungry right now, uhmm, I could watch you eat, I don't mind just chatting with you actually. " she injected.
"Hahaha, its that the secret to your slim figure?" I joked
While i look through the menu, considering should I order a salad for starters because obviously she watches her figure, maybe we could share that. " How about I order a Greek Salad for starters, Prawn Linguine for Mains and a Lychee Foam for dessert? You can share if you want to" I asked.
"It's up to you really. I'm still quite full from my lunch. Haha I'm so sorry for making this awkward.. " she went softer as she spoke.
"Not at all not at all!" I tried to comfort her " A beauty like you watch her diet is perfectly normal. Hahaha!"
As I ate, we started to get to know each other better. She's working at another city as a banker and only came over to visit her mother. She loves music and art, a part-time performer at a bar in the city she is residing at, could play the piano and guitar, occasionally she likes to draw and read. Wow! She's really is everything in one. A multi talented beauty. I really didn't want to let this one go. She listened to my stories about my boring job, how I felt that the people working there were all zombies and how boring my everyday life is, but I could feel that she was genuinely entertained when she laughed at how my workload keep piling up. We were connecting really well! Every time I catch someone looking over at our seat, I would secretly think inside my heart, "Wish you were me aren't you. Hahaha! Too bad!"
After the scrumptious meal and amazing " get to know each other better " session, I tried to casually slip in the question of where's she currently staying now.
"Its alright Jace really! You don't have to send me back! I still have a place I have to go to, to settle some personal stuff. I really enjoyed the night! We could do this again sometime alright? Don't worry, I'll always be there to text you if you ever get lonely. " She added in cheekly.
My heart was in flutters, is she actually flirting with me right now? Heaven is really looking out for me after all! After all these years of being single, finally I've met the one!
"Are you taking a taxi? I can wait the taxi with you if you want" I asked, but my heart was exclaiming, " I really wanna spend more time with you!"
"It's alright really!" She laughed. I could feel that she was getting more comfortable around me. "You have already helped me a lot and must be feeling quite tired already, go home, get a shower and rest up okay? "
"Alright alright missy! You sure you gonna be okay? If you need any more help, dont hesitate to ask!" I said as I turned around to walk away.
"Don't worry! Stay safe Jace!"
As I walked away, I felt like there were no more butterflies left in me, a feeling of warmness took it's place. I think I'm in love! She's perfect! I turned to take a second glance, but she was gone, probably on the taxi already.
I reached home never feeling so happy in my life before. Smiling like an idiot while i removed my clothing to prepare for a shower.
*Bzzz* Oh she texted me?
"Goodnight! Thanks for the night again Jace! :)"
I was wrong. It is now that I have never felt happier! Tonight I'm gonna have the best sleep with the sweetest dream! YES!
