“My name is James, Alpha of the Silent Owl Pack. My mate, Edith will show you show them their new room?” A woman the same age as James greeted us.

“I’m Edith; and welcome!” She smiled brightly, “I’ll show you around,”

Adam and I picked up our stuff and followed Edith. She showed us the kitchen which was filled with every appliance needed for cooking and every food known to man. Across from the kitchen was the living room. It was had three couches and a huge TV on the wall. A small coffee table sat in front of the TV. In the middle of the kitchen and living room was a set of stairs. Edith led us up the stairs and through various corridors. She finally stopped at a dark brown wooden door.

“This is your new room, enjoy!” Edith smiled and then walked off.

Adam opened the door to reveal a huge room. A king sized bed sat a few feet before the door way. The blankets were dark green with falling leaves stitched into it for a pattern. At the foot of the bed was a small light brown couch and a flat screen TV stood a few feet away. If you’re standing at the door way and turned right there was a small kitchen. It had a refrigerator, oven and microwave; the basics. I had totally forgotten that the Silent Owl Pack was one of the richest packs in the country.

Adam and I unpacked out stuff within an hour. By that time there was a knock at the door. Adam answered the door; it was Edith.

“We are having a bon fire in the backyard of the pack house if you would like to join,” Edith said.

Adam looked over to me, asking for my approval. I nodded, “We’d be glad to join. We will get ready and then join you,”

“Take your time,” Edith smiled.

Adam closed the door and walked over to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me to his chest, “This place is great!”

“I know! We should probably get ready,” I tried to pull away but Adam pulled me back to him.

“You can’t get away from me that easily,” Adam kissed me.

“But we have to get ready,” I whispered between kisses.

“You’re right,” Adam let go of me and started digging for some clothes, “You stopped me this time but you won’t be able to stop me next time,”

I couldn’t help but blush; I tried to ignore the comment. I started to look for something to wear. I finally found something; a short white dress that stopped right above the knees and the straps were thin. I decided to wear a string woven necklace with a bat charm on it. I quickly changed into the dress and put on some white flip flops. Adam wore a simple black button up shirt and jeans.

“Damn, I better keep my eye on you or someone else will snatch you up,” Adam kissed me, “C’mon,”

After a little while of walking around the bon fire party Adam and I decided to sit down and have a couple drinks. I was on my second drink when tis group of people approached us. A woman in a blue button shirt greeted us first.

“Hello, I’m Carrie; I’ve heard that you two are the new ones here. I just wanted to welcome you two. This is really a great town. We have everything a person could ever need packed into our town. We have two malls, many fancy restaurants, we have our own gas stations that are filled with fuel that is found in our own territory and we have three pack houses!”

I was shocked to hear that this town was so efficient by itself! And that it had three pack houses; pack houses are twice the size of normal mansions, “I’m Natalie and this is my mate, Adam,”

“Nice to meet you!” A man next to Carrie with a green striped shirt greeted us, “I’m Rick; Carrie is my mate and this is our son, John,” A man probably in his late twenties greeted us also.
