Huygens' pov

I awoke when I can assume was the next late evening. The faint silhouette of Saturn was orange and smoggy from Titan's Nitrogen and methane atmosphere. I didn't remember very well why I had waken up from such a deep hypersleep. But all I knew was Cassini was to next to me. Was I too late? No, he wouldn't just leave me. And yet, I feel less safe with him not with me, although nothing could hurt me. It just felt... different.
Something doesn't feel right. Wait, something's written in the dust.
Sorry buddy, I had to leave- I'm really running low on fuel. Lower than expected. Call me later about it.
Life just gets worse and worse. Is there anyone or anything that can help?
I dial up Cassini.
"Hi buddy, I've got some terrible news..."
"Descent is tomorrow."
I feel my heart drop. Through the core of Titan and through a wormhole. And then I know I've lost it.
"Huygens,"
"Just don't do it, Cassini! Don't go! Just orbit Saturn but don't go..." But I knew all the pleading would prove to be of no use- Houston will control Cassini.
"I'm sorry Huygens... I can't do anything about it."
I feel sick.
"I want to take you on one last adventure."
Oh?
"Where to?"
"To Saturn and back."
"Yes, yes! Oh my gosh yes! Let's go!"
I can see Cassini plunge into Titan's atmosphere.
"Okay... how do I get you back in here..."
I quickly clip the metal bars in place.
"Let's go!" I hear the familiar laugh of Cassini and realized it would be the last time I would hear it.
Stop being sad Huygens. This is worse for Cassini. Now stay positive for this ride. For Cass.

Cassini's pov

I want to make my final time with Huygens memorable. I'll take him on a little journey to Saturn's rings with my remaining backup fuel. The last moments should be the most memorable.
He straps himself in and we're off.

~time skip to when they get there~

He's in awe.
Huygens has been staring at Saturn for so long.
"You get to WORK here?"
I laugh.
"Yes, and it's magical."
"Not fair! I wanted to work here!"
"yeah but sometimes I get dizzy from floating all these months."
"At least you can float!"
We spend the next 4 hours talking and laughing as we complete half an orbit around Saturn.
I check my time and coordinates. We should head back.
"We've gotta head back, buddy."
"No! I'll go with you."
I pause.
"I mean uh... yeah. We should get going."
"Take a glance at Saturn, buddy."
"Soon, I'll be part of it."
I see his face fall.
"Cass! Don't say that!"
whoops. My bad.
"I'm sorry buddy."
"Always remember, I love you."
I tapped his MCU (main computing unit- or a "heart" for the humanfolk.)
"And don't you ever forget it."
