⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀RHAENE'S THIN FINGERS TWIRLED A SHORT CURL THAT DRAPED ACROSS ROBB'S FOREHEAD. She giggled as he twitched his nose like a bunny, dragging her short nail down the curve of his nose.

A knock rang through the door. "Maester Luwin, my Lord and Lady, and Theon Greyjoy," a guard called through the door.

Rhaene sighed softly to herself. "Let them in!" she responded, getting out of bed and wrapping herself in a thick robe.

Meraxes and Sunfyre yawned and stretched, curious clicks escaping their mouths as they watched the door open.

"Pardon, Lady Rhaene, Lord Stark, but there was a raven." Maester Luwin held a scroll in his fingers.

Rhaene made her way over to him, taking the scroll and unraveling it. The low light made it difficult to read, so she moved over to a brazier.

"Robb, I write to you with a heavy heart," it read. "Our good King Robert is dead, killed from wounds he took in a boar hunt. Father has been charged with treason. He conspired with Robert's brothers against my beloved Joffrey and tried to steal his throne.

The Lannisters are treating me very well and provide me with every comfort. I beg you: come to King's Landing, swear fealty to King Joffrey and prevent any strife between the great houses of Lannister and Stark.

With all my love, Sansa."

Rhaene numbly allowed the scroll to curl back up, lifting her eyes to meet Robb's. He would be infuriated if he read it, that much she knew. But she also knew he had a right to know what was going on in King's Landing, so she beckoned him over. He rolled out of bed, clad in little more than a pair of linen trousers, and made his way over to her.

"I'm so sorry," she whispered.

He cast her a concerned glance as he took it from her hand, and unraveled it. "Treason?" he spoke in disbelief, "Sansa wrote this?" He looked to Maester Luwin, who had a grave expression.

Theon stood idly by, watching his friend with a curious expression.

"It is your sister's hand, but the Queen's words. You're summoned to King's Landing to swear fealty to the new King."

"Joffery put my Father in chains, now he wants his ass kissed?" Robb spat, his hands clenching.

"This is a royal command, my Lord - if you should refuse..."

"I won't refuse," Robb rolled the scroll up, handing it back to Maester Luwin. "His Grace summons me to King's Landing - I'll go to King's Landing. But not alone." He glanced at his wife, who was watching him with a stoic expression. "Call the banners."

"All of them... my Lord?" Maester Luwin asked, eyebrows furrowing.

"They've all sworn to defend my father, have they not?" he questioned.

Maester Luwin nodded.

"Then we'll see what their words are worth."

Maester Luwin and Theon soon left, but not without the Greyjoy boy smirking excitedly to himself.

"Robb..." Rhaene put a hand on his shoulder as he leaned his forearm above the fireplace. He looked beautiful in the warm lighting. "This is war we're talking about."
