Chapter 2: Investigation

Taehyung's P.O.V

I woke up and realized that I wasn't in my bedroom. 'Where am I?' I thought. I was about to get up from the bed but my head was hurting too much, there was a bloody bandage wrapped around my head. I slowly sat on the edge of the bed.

"Jungkook... where is he?" I whispered to myself and suddenly, he came into the room.

"Hey, are you okay now? Does your head hurt?" He was worried but I ignored him. I looked down. He bent down to my face level so he could see my facial expression.

"Are you okay? I'm sorry that I knocked you out," he said and he held my hand.

"M-My parents..." I mumbled but it was too soft for him to hear.

He sighed.

"We are orphans now." He stated and smiled. How can he be so happy?

Hoseok's P.O.V

It's been 3 years since I last saw Taehyung. Now I'm a police officer after graduating from the academy two years ago.

I was on patrol when I suddenly got a call from our chief saying that there was a brutal murder case last night and that I was needed now. So I went to the police station where my chief was waiting for me.

I went inside and everyone was busy.

"Hoseok, come here." Chief Han said and I walked towards him.

"I want you and your partner,Shin Eunwoo, to go to the case's placeㅡ Kim Taehyung's accommodation." Then he proceeded to state the direction and details about the place. But waitㅡ that's my Taehyung's house. The Taehyung I know.

"You guys will go first and I'll follow behind you later because there's something I still need to do," he commanded and I nodded before shouting a yes sir.

What happened in Taehyung's house?

"Eunwoo, let's go." I called and he nodded.

We went to the parking lot and Eunwoo stopped me.

"Hyung, I'll drive!" He said enthusiastically as he got into the driver's seat while I plopped myself down onto the passenger's seat.

But I still kept thinking, why his house?

When we arrived at the crime scene, there was an ambulance, medical forces and some other police officers that were already there taking pictures and collecting evidence.

I saluted the other police officers as they let me and my partner cross the police line and lead us into the house.

The smell of blood was overpowering the room. But nothing was stolen and everything seemed to be in placed so I went into the dining room where the victims were left.

Oh my God.

But why was there only one body when I was informed there would be two?

Strange.

I started to investigate and look around. I went to Taehyung's room. Where was he? There was no sight of him at all. Why wasn't he here questioned by the police?

I sighed and went outside of the house. There I saw an old lady, crying, while holding onto a photo. I went to her.

"Ma'am, are you related to this family?" I asked and she nodded.

"Can you tell me what you know?" I asked and brought out my notepad.

FLASHBACK.

Taehyung's Grandma's P.O.V

I called my daughter but she didn't pick up. And that was weird, everytime I call her, she answers it.

I was about to go and give them a visit at their house. Some handmade kimchi and other side dishes. My poor daughter and son-in-law is always busy with work so they probably don't have a lot of time to cook for my grandson.

When I arrived at the place, I knocked on the door twice but no one answered.

I though it was locked but when I turned the knob, it was unlocked.

"Hello?" I called out and suddenly something was stopping my tracks when I looked down I saw a dead body lying on the ground, full of blood.

END OF FLASHBACK.

I screamed and panicked so I called the police.

Hoseok's P.O.V

PRESENT TIME.

"P-Please find my grandson," she showed me the picture of Taehyung and his parents.

"P-Please f-find h-him..." she sobbed into my chest as I nodded and took the picture from her before running her back.

"I will find him, I promise."

"T-Thank you," and she smiled so I smiled back.

I will find you Kim Taehyung.
