Chapter Four

The room is made of black stone. I'm the only thing in it. There are no exits. It it's freezing in here.

"Join me daughter of Aphrodite," a deep voice fills the room. It sounds like it is coming from every where, and yet, no where. "Join me and no one shall die."

"Never," I shout. I have a feeling that this person is not the type pix person you would join sides with, even if you two are the only ones left on earth.

"I can insure nothing will happen to the one you love," he replies. An image appears in the middle of the room. Luke is sitting in a chair by where I'm laying. How long have I been out?

"Let me try something," the voice says. Then all the air leaves my lungs. I gasp for air, but I can never get a single breath. The image shows me gasping for air. A couple of Apollo kids come running over to assist. Finally the grasp loosens and I take deep breaths. That was extremely weird. Even for a demigod. The scene changes. I'm in a room that looks like my cabin. A woman is standing in front of me. Every second, her image changes. Soon the images just blend together.

"Nice to see you again daughter," she says to me.

"Hi Mom," I reply to her. The last time I saw her, she was claiming me. "You can ask me one question before my father find out I'm talking to you," Aphrodite me. Zeus gets angry at his favorite child?

"Why is up with me when it comes with dreams?" I ask her.

"When you were born," she replies, "you were given a gift from Morpheus, the god of dreams. The gift he gave you is that anything that happens in your dream will happen to you, or you can dream of the future. And that's on top of the usual things demigod dream of."

She starts to fade.

"It's time for me to go," she says. "Goodbye."

"Goodbye Mom," I reply. She disappears from the scene.

I open my eyes top find Luke staring at me. His blue eyes are so attractive. I could stare in them for hours.

"Hello sweet heart," he says with a smile.

"Hi," I reply. "How long have I been out?" I add.

"Two days," he replied to my question. It's now Friday. The day of capture the flag. I know I will have to fight with Luke on whether or not I will be participating in the game. I get up.

"Where are you going?" Luke asks.

"I'm going to change," I reply. Luke shrugs and gets up. He follows me until we get to the cabin circle. He walks into his, while I go into mine. Silena hands my armor.

"I know you aren't going to listen to Luke," Silena says as I grab the armor.

"You know me so well," I tell her. I change quickly and head towards the place where the teams are being split up. Since I'm the only Aphrodite child participating in the game, I get to choose which team my cabin represents.
