'Everybody hurts some days...It's okay to be afraid. Everybody hurts. Everybody screams. Everybody feels this way, And it's okay. La di da di da...It's okay' - Avril Lavigne, 'Everybody Hurts'.

"Eden, what's the matter?""Nothing."
"Eddy, you're not dancing around like a lunatic. And you're wearing a black dress. What is it?"
"If you must know...it's the anniversary of Andie's death today."
"Oh."
Andie was Eden's childhood best friend. Until they had fight over a boy and never made up. Andie was coming home from Cornwall when a van went into her car. She died that night.
So did a part of Eden.
Without any warning, Eden suddenly broke down crying. I wrapped her into a hug.
"It's okay Eddy. Everybody hurts at some point in their lives. Just let it out. It's okay..."

Eden and I stayed like that for a long time. When she stopped crying, I got up and changed from my jeans and blue top into my black jeans, dark grey t-shirt and black hoodie. Then I put on my black pumps and went out for a walk with Eden.
She had a long talk with me. About Andie mostly, but sometimes how lucky she was to have me and Eliza. How she wished she could turn back to the day of the argument and just go home. She wished she had been more persistent with her apologies.
We talked and talked into the evening.

Blaise asked Eliza on a date for the next Hogsmeade trip, which she was hyped about.
I, on the other hand, was getting closer to Draco. We hung out a lot doing Potions homework, as he was now my permanent partner. Harry kept glaring at me and throwing me dirty looks, but I ignored him. He's not the boss of my life. He can't control me.
Anyway, Hermione's idea for Defence Classes was coming along. The meeting was to be held in a few Hogsmeade weekends. The younger years were having theirs when I got back from the main one. I was excited about what Harry had to say...
Eden was quiet for the rest of the week, but Eliza and I understood. We gave her a shoulder to cry on if she needed it, and even Piper patted her awkwardly on the back when we passed her in the hallway.
I was doing a nasty Transfiguration essay when Eliza sat down next to me.
"Guess what?"
"What?"
"Blaise kissed me!"
Why did everyone else's relationships move so fast and mine went at a snail's pace?
I don't get life.
"That's great!"
"And he's coming to the meeting. He promised not to tell Draco and I know he was telling the truth, I read his mind."
"Why can't he tell Draco?"
"Draco's father is in contact to the ministry."
"But Draco wouldn't tell."
Would he?
"Well, I don't want to find out if he will or won't, we can't tell him."
I sighed. "Okay, okay."

Today was the last Hogsmeade weekend before the meeting for the Defence lessons. Eliza was going on a date with Blaise. Draco and I were pulling faces behind their backs.
I was more relaxed around Draco now, as I've discovered that most of the time he's a down to earth person. Never did get over the ferret thing though. Especially since I laughed at him and didn't help.
Anyway, Eliza and Blaise went into the Three Broomsticks. Draco and I carried on down the street until we came to a little tea shop. We went inside.
There wasn't many people in there, so we ordered 2 Butterbeers and sat down.
After that, I said goodbye to Draco and went to find Eden. She was probably with Oscar.
Sure enough, I walked into the Three Broomsticks and saw them snogging in a corner. Lovely.
Clearly this wasn't the right time to be interrupting anything, so I turned around and went to find Raven.
She was in Zonko's buying some fireworks. I raised an eyebrow.
"Since when did you like explosives?"
"I dunno, I just feel like anonymously pranking Umbitch. I really think she should be rechristened!"
I laughed. "Me too, me too. Anyway, Eliza's with Blaise and Eden's snogging Oscar so do you want to hang out?"
Raven beamed. "Of course! I'll just pay for these!" She said, placing the fireworks on the counter. I picked up some Sugar Quills to eat in class and some dungbombs for Ron's birthday in March. I always got presents quite early, otherwise I forget.
We exited the shop after we'd both paid and dashed across the road to a clothing shop. It was mainly for muggleborns as there were no robes in there. I found a cute stripy t-shirt, a pair of dungarees and a pair of stud earrings. Raven got a green jacket, a plain grey t-shirt and a necklace with a heart on it. Green and silver, would you believe.
Then we headed to a makeup shop and I got a new concealer (Draco had stolen Parkinson's, as promised, but she wasn't my shade. Thoughtful, though.) and some foundation. Then I got a 'Revolution' eyeshadow palette with mostly summer colours on it. I also got a waterproof mascara because I was reading a really sad book and I kept crying when I had mascara on.
*Sigh*.
Anyway, we exited the shop and began walking back up to the castle. Eliza and Blaise met us there, as well as Eden and Oscar. Everyone else is in relationships besides me, literally.
Again, *Sigh*.
When I got back to my dorm, I hanged up my new clothes, put in the new earrings and walked to the Great Hall for dinner. Eliza was already there, saving a seat for me.
"Thanks!" I said. "Don't you want to sit with Blaise though?"
She smiled. "Nah, I haven't spoken to you in a while. We haven't sat down and had a proper chat for months. Actually, I think the last time we did was in 4th year."
I laughed. "Well I guess we've just been busy!"
