Epilogue

I packed my trunk for home, my expression far less happy than it had been on the way here.

On the way here, I was a naive 15 year old. Now, I'm a serious 16 year old fighting in a war. A confused 16 year old who doesn't know what to think of their boyfriend. A boyfriend who was on Umbitch's side, yet on mine too. That's confusing.

Anyway, I folded up the last of my t-shirts and pulled on my jumpsuit, which was patterned with flowers. I quickly braided my hair and pulled on my flats and denim jacket before pulling my trunk down from the dorm.

I was meeting Raven at the carriages. She was coming to stay with me this summer after her father disowned her. My mum had plenty of space with the orphanage and everything, so it was no trouble.

Eliza followed me down shortly after, eating toast. We walked down to the carriages together.

"You know what I'm looking forward to the most this holidays?"

"What?"

"For it to be over and to be back at Hogwarts learning how to defend ourselves. Now that the war's finally happening, skills are going to be more important than ever."

"Yeah..."

Raven waved at me and we both climbed aboard the carriage that was waiting.

I sipped my coke and looked out the window. After a while, I got up and had a little walk around the train. I couldn't stand sitting still. I felt restless. I needed to do something.

But all I could do was wait for six weeks while the Order does all sorts of missions.

I was starting to feel Harry's pain now.

We arrived and Mum was waiting for us with Theo, Liam and Micah. Amelia and Hannah were already rushing over and I rushed there too, giving Mum and giant hug. Raven hung back awkwardly for a bit, until my mum properly introduced herself and I saw Raven relax.

I took Micah from Mum and loaded Amelia and Hannah's trunks onto the trolley that Raven and I's were on. The girls jumped on and Mum walked behind with the boys, chatting to Raven.

We arrived at the minivan (we did have a car but we traded it for a minivan when the orphanage opened) and I helped Mum load in the cases, then strapping Micah in her car seat.

Amelia and Hannah bagsied the back, so Theo and Liam took the middle with Micah,Raven and I sat in the front, Micah in her car seat. The drive was reasonably short and before I knew it, we had arrived.

Chris was away on business and wouldn't be back for 2 months, which meant it would only be Mum and Micah here when he got back. Well, maybe a few more kids. Undercover witches and wizards at foster care homes had suspicions about certain children who could be transferred to Mum's care later on.

Anyway, we got the trunks inside, unpacked, had dinner and everyone went up to their rooms. Bar me. I had to talk to Mum first.

"You may have already been informed, but the war has now commenced." I said, sipping my tea.

"Yes, yes I have."

"Great. Then you understand that I may need to drop out of my education after next year for my own safety. Amelia, Hannah, Liam and Theo too. They can always redo their years after the war. I don't know if I'd need to; I may not. But I need you to know that I might."

"Okay. I've discussed things with Minerva and she said I could go into hiring with the boys and Micah, plus any other children in my care who aren't Hogwarts age. Amelia and Hannah would have to go with you. You have to promise to keep them safe."

"I promise."

"Great. Good Night."

"Night."

This is scary...as I have no idea what I'll do after this series finishes..
