Chapter 19

(Sammy's POV)
It was now around 2 am and everyone was starting to get tired.
Jo- Hey, how about some karaoke?
D- Eh I'm tried, and so is Addie.
He said, looking down at Addie who was sitting in his lap with her arms around his neck, and head buried into his shoulder, asleep.
Jo- Come on, it will be fun, I'll go first.
He connected his phone to a speaker that came out of nowhere, and got his song ready.
Jo- Wait, it's a duo. I need a partner, preferably a girl.
No one offered to go.
Jo- Come on, Please.
Danielle- Fine, I'll go, but I'm not a very good singer.
Danielle got up, and stood next to Jonah.
Danielle- What's the song?
Jonah- You'll see.
Danielle- But what if I don't know it?
Jonah- Trust me, I'm pretty sure everyone knows it. Sammy, do you have any microphones?
S- Umm, Yeah, I'll get them.

I ran to my room and grabbed 2 old microphones, when I returned, Jonah had set up the karaoke on the TV so that Danielle and him could see.
When I handed Jonah a microphone, I noticed he was shaking, and a tad bit sweaty.
'Meh' I shook it off and gave Danielle the other microphone.
Jo- You ready?
Danielle- Yep.
He started the music, and I immediately knew what song it was.
Danielle- Oh my god, this is like one of my all time favourite songs.
Jo- Isn't it everyone's?
The song was Can I Have this Dance, from High School Musical 3.

Everyone started singing softly while Jonah and Danielle were singing to each other, it almost felt like they meant what they were saying.
The last note of the song played and we all clapped.
Jonah- Danielle the reason I picked this song was because I want to ask you something.
We all stayed quiet because we all knew what was coming.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a bracelet.
Jonah- Danielle, will you go to formal with me?
She stood still and looked at the bracelet.
Danielle- It's about time you asked, yes, I will.
Jonah- Oh thank god, I was shaking like mad.
He put the bracelet around her wrist and have her hug.
J- Well, it looks like we all have dates, except for Corbyn.
C- Don't remind me.
Z- That Kaitlyn girl seems to have an interest in you, why don't you take her?
C- Nah, she seems creepy, and if I was to ask someone, it would be just as friends, Christina wouldn't like me going with an actual date.
Z- Okay, it's your call.

J- Well, I'm going to sleep.
S- Same
D- Same
Z- Let's all go to sleep.
S- Night Guys
Danielle- Night
Ebony- Night
Addie- Night...
