Brooklyn
""Scratch that scratch that. July I'm staring dead at Moe."
May 1, 2017

I sway from side to side with a smile and my phone pressed to the side of my face.

"Remember what I said," July says.

"How many times you finna tell me," I laugh.

"As many times as I gotta tell you babe," he says.

I roll my eyes but my smile never disappears. I tap my foot while I fill out my sign in sheet.

"Name?" I hear.

"Rusty."

I look up from my clip board with a fucked up face.

Whatttt?

"July," I sing.

"Hmm?" He asks.

I hear him chewing.

Fat ass.

"What are you eating?" I get side tracked.

"Don't worry. I'm not eating nobody else but you."

"I-"

A grinch ass smirk takes over my lips.

"You wildn-"

"Yea I'm wildn," he says.

I'll ride yo face when I get home-

"Scratch that, scratch that. July I'm staring dead at Moe," I half whisper.

"Hm?" He asked still munching on whatever he's munching on.

"Where are you?" He asks like I haven't been on the phone with him for thirty minutes.

I watch him pick up a clipboard from the front table just like I did.

"The school stupid," I laugh.

"Give him the phone!" He says.

"Uhhh-"

"Brooky."

"I'm pretty sure this man is finna take a test-"

"Please give him the phone. It'll be okay," he stresses.

"I know how Moe gets when testing July. Don't curse this man out. The fact that he's here. It's just really good," I explain as I step closer to him.

He doesn't look dirty. His jacket has holes but from what I can see everything looks regular.

"I'm not mad Brooklyn. Just give him the phone," he says.

I pause.

I trust July. Why wouldn't I.

"Moe."

He turns around and his eyes get wide. He smiles his yucky ass grin and grabs me.
