I looked at her as I got up. Her face was simple. But I don't understand. Why is she the one I'm seeing right now? Shouldn't Leana or someone else be invading my mind? I tried to talk to her, but all she did was smiled at me. I couldn't move. Simple yet beautiful. Maybe she's truly the one?

"Who are you..?", I asked.

She turned brighter and brighter every second that I look at her. And I did the unthinkable. I reached out for a fist bump. She made a fist and looked at it. But then she looked at me and returned my fistbump. There's no doubt. She's the one.

I opened my eyes to see that I was staring into the light bulb just above me. Ouchhh. I rose from the bed and I saw my friends by the side. I saw Kate, Blake, Brandon, Tony, Marcus, Marie, Daniel, and-

"Kuyaaa!"

She appeared out of nowhere to tackle me. I'm feeling okay but my head feels a lighter than usual.

"I haven't seen you since I last performed for our Folk Dance Competition.", I said.

"You really need to eat more foods and drink more water. You couldn't even finish off half a bottle of water.", she replied.

"Okay okay."

"Jason!", Brandon shouted.

"Whats up?", I asked.

"People have been worried about you bro. The best player on the team, suddenly falls in front of the crowd."

Maybe thats why I saw that girl. Did she help me up?

"By any chance, was I assisted by a girl in a school uniform?", I said.

"Umm no. But my former classmate was in a school uniform. She was asking me if I knew you.", he replied.

I stared blankly at him.

I grabbed his shoulders and shook him slightly.

"Whats her name?!", I asked.

"Thats the problem though. I couldn't remember.", he answered.

"Sighhh.", I let go of his shoulders. "I guess I'll have to find it out the difficult way."

"Also, I'd want you to meet our new buddies Jason."

"Oh? Sure. Just gimme some time to know them one by one. What about the championship game though?"

"Well, we handled it just fine. The Grade 11 team gave up by the start of the second half. It was just like shootaround during freeplay haha."

"Nice nice, congrats. I'll just do my best to attend the awarding ceremony."

"Still, considering how much you changed the flow of the game, you'll be the MVP."

~Ehem, moving to this major group that Kate was recruiting me, it started with me, Tony, and Erik. One day, we all decided to hang out by my Bahay Kubo. Because of our similar interests for basketball, it was easy to build our solid foundation now.

"Since when did you play Basketball, Jason?", Erik asked.

"I started as a kid, then I got uninterested for some time. Then Grade 6 started and when I saw the New York Knicks, my heart for the game suddenly sprung to life and I got to play.", I replied.

"Still, back then you weren't even good at playing bro.", Tony said.

"Thats because I was prioritizing computer games over basketball haha.", I said.

"I'm amazed how much you learned withing 6 years.", Tony added.

"Its not that much, and besides. I'm just playing for fun. Thats the most important part."

~We carried on and on and on and on until it was night time. They can't stay at our place forever. We thought that maybe this circle of friends could expand some more. Kate also knows some friends that she wants us to add. So we already knew Kate, Blake and Brandon. Then Tony and Erik joined through our basketball sessions. Leana had a friend back then, I always saw him at other sections but I really wanted to be friends with him just in case that, hoping me and Leana could still work out. His name was Kent. And Kent brought in some of his girl friends. "Girl" friends, not "girlfriends" okay? There's a huge difference haha. We were now introduced to Iris, Janna and Amanda. The last two members were Drew, Rodrigo's friend in the Music Club and Calla, my old bestfriend.

~Who would've thought that these people became my temporary family for this Grade 12. It really feels weird, knowing that I was just added accidentally. But who am I to give remarks. Atleast, I'll be able to survive these last 2 semesters with people I can trust.

One day, we all decided to hangout by Blake's house. We often do that whenever there are no assignments or stuff to do at school. Its amazing how we are able to fit in that small room. There are 11 of us in total since Brandon isn't allowed to leave his home. Probably because of study problems or some other tasks. Blake was the kind of guy to have all kinds of games in his room. He has multiple gaming consoles, 3 monitors for gaming and a giant shelf filled with games. I'm never jealous when it comes to materialistic possessions but I'd like to experience that type of lifestyle even once in my life.

"Blake, what rank are you now?", Kent asked.

"I'm currently Diamond IV.", Blake replied.

"Ohhhh nice nice. I think Kent here needs a little bit of our assistance.", Drew said.

"Why not? You two are the pros here.", Kent answered.

"You see Kent, there are certain FPS strategies that you need to master in order to keep up with the rest."

"I'm willing to learn. Teach me masters!"

While Kent, Drew and Blake were focused on the gaming computer, Tony and Erik were on the gaming console playing Basketball.

"What?! That was a foulll!", Erik shouted.

"Ha! Refs didn't call it hahaha.", Tony replied.

"I'm going to payback that turnover."

"If you can. My defense is near unbeatable."

"We'll see about that. I'm gonna make it rain from 3-point land."

The girls were all focused on their phones. Like seriously, they're too focused on either K-Pop or boys that they like on social media. I will never understand their way of thinking.

"Whatcha doinnn'?", I asked.

"Just checking out our favorite K-pop group.", Amanda replied.

"Umm Calla, you didn't forget my flash drive, right??", I said.

"Ohhh. About that, I still have to print a document. I saved it in your flash drive. I'll give it back as soon as possible okayyy?"

"Alright."

"Yayyy, thanks besprend."

And that was the single problem I had. I was awkwardly out of place. I don't know where to stick with. Blake had his gaming friends, Erik was playing 1v1 against Tony, and I'm not that really comfortable being with girls. Even if the girls were very close to me personally, I would rather move away or just focus on what I have.

I don't want to use people. They are my family.
