Chapter 9: We Owned the Night

With enough courage and bravery, I walked forward until I reached her room. It was lunch time, which means vacancy for almost and hour. Their door was open so I welcomed myself in. Where is she-

Someone grabbed my chest. This strangling hold reminds me of someone.

"Kuyaaaa!"

"Jae? What are you doing here?", I asked.

"Duhhh, my friends are here. If you're looking for April, she went to the rest room a while ago. She'll be back dom't worryyy.", she replied.

"W-what??"

"I heard from Rodrigo that you were making moves on her. Sooo, I joined in on the hype train haha."

"There's nothing I can do about that. Wait, just a question tho, why haven't I seen you around lately?"

"I'm great at stealth. Metal Gear style hahaha. You don't notice me walking around? Going to the library, carrying heavy objects while you sit in the second floor of the canteen talking with a girl??"

That hit me right in the feels. How could I have been that inconsiderate?

"Sorry Jae. Imma help you with the Finals examination.", I said.

"Yayyy."

"Oh. Hi Jason.", April said.

"Hello April. Have you met my twin sister?", I asked.

"Cool! Nice to meet you!", April replied.

"So you've gone for a simple one eh? Nice to meet you too. Make sure my brother isn't embarassing himself with you.", Jae answered.

"As a matter of fact, he's somehow always there for me. And he never feels shy or afraid when he is helping me.", April added.

I boastfully smiled at Jae while Jae crossed her arms and raised her chin.

"Now that you're here with April, I'm gonna go head inside to my friends. Bye Kuyaaa!", Jae said.

"See you around, Jae!", I replied.

"Sooo, I was thinking of maybe, we could study at the library.", I followed.

"Too farrr. I have high heels you know haha.", April replied.

"Sorry sorry. Hmm, where to..."

"Lets just hangout by the hallway. They recently added benches there, right?"

"That sounds like a plan."

I don't know what came over me. She's studying subjects related to Business while I was reviewing subjects for Engineering. 2 opposite worlds, but in this moment, it felt like we were in the world together. I wish that we had moments like this for as long as we are together right now. 

~One important week before the school year ends is the STEM week. The student government never runs out of programs, and they suggested that every STEM section would present a part of the school that must be given a new look. We are requested to make a scale model of it, all improvements and changes should be present and visible. You guys might have already guessed it but yeah, we were going to make the model at our house. Good thing that Dad wasn't home on weekdays since he was at work. Mom was at work but she would come home at lunch to eat. Jae was at her classmate's house, probably doing the same thing too. It was a good thing that half of our class was assigned to help the STEM Club officers in preparing for the event. Our house would've been flooded with classmates. They scheduled it to be at 9 AM.
