"What are you doing here?" Lena demands.
"I'm here to fight." "What are you thinking? I told you not too." Lena hisses. "Tracer, I suggest you stop bugging her." Soldier intervenes.
"No, its not safe here so I won't let you out there." Lena says, forgetting Mei's advice completely. But Y/n continues to protest.
"If its not for me, how can I believe its not for you?" Y/n asks. Lena freezes and tries to think of an excuse to get the argument over with. "I have my chronal accelerator."
"I said I have hope in you're humanity, not abilities. If you have the same amount of hope in me like I do with you, you would let me fight." Y/n says. The Brit gives no response. "And I thought we were actually going somewhere." Y/n scoffed before leaving.
All the agents just looked and stared. Rarely have they heard Y/n speak since she was only ever in Lena's room. But now they've heard just a bit to much.
"Are you okay there Lena?" Genji was first to speak up. "I blew it." Lena mumbled.
"You did what now?" Hana asks. "I blew it. I was so selfish, I trapped her in my room, barely let her out and I thought I was keeping her safe, but look where it took us." Lena laughs painfully.
"Why don't you let her fight? I can tell her spirit is strong and determined. One a great fighter or soldier would have." Genji says. "But shes still human, we all are. If we can get hurt and die, what are the chances of that happening to Y/n?" Lena cries.
"If it makes you feel better, we can protect her at all costs." D.Va suggests. "No, protect the healers. They are the team's main priority, I can defend myself." before Lena could even reply, Y/n spoke.
No one else seemed to find the courage to speak up so everyone just awkwardly went to do their own things.
"Thanks for the offer anyway." Lena whispered to Hana as she passed by.
"Okay agents, lets get a move on. Talon is somewhere in the outer part of Kings Row. So its better if we reach the middle earlier before sundown." Soldier commands. The agents all scatter to get put on their gear before following the old soldier to where history will go down.
Y/n put on her hood and walked ahead, talking with Soldier in the process. "You're just full of suprises aren't you kid?" Soldier chuckles.
Y/n turns and looks at him quizically. "I mean you're willingness to join us in this battle." he says. "I have my reasons." Y/n answers blantly. "And I'm sure I can guess them. Its to keep her alive, isn't it?" Soldier says, obviously referring to Lena.
Y/n shakes her head, no.
Soldier hums and raises an eyebrow at Y/n. "I mean yes, partially, but this is mostly to prove her wrong. To prove everyone wrong." Y/n says, determination in her voice. "Thats why I chose you kiddo, you have a good fighting spirit." Soldier laughs. "I just wish everyone else could see that."
Soldier chooses to ignore that statement, knowing Y/n wouldn't like it if he asked her further. Some people just couldn't learn from others though.
Lena watched from a good distance away. She wanted to go up to her and apologize but something was just telling her nows not the time. The Brit decided to back off for the meantime and decides she would confront Y/n as soon as she sees the chance too.
"Hello Tracer." a voice greets. Lena turns to see Angela now walking beside her. "Hey doc, I'm sure you saw everything from earlier huh?" she asks and the Swiss nods sadly. "I know you're intentions mean good Lena, but just because you're protective doesn't mean you have to be so overprotective." Angela says.
