A/N- Okay, I know everybody hates these, but I figured I should explain. I know in the books Edmund is described as fair-haired, but I've always pictured him as having dark hair and eyes. So throughout these snippets, if anything seems off, it's probably for a similar reason.

Sounds
filter through the leaves.
It's serene,
but with a flush of life.
The woods hold a solemnity.
In the daylight,
it's the quiet of a father,
a protector.
In the dark,
it gains new meaning.
It becomes a majestic being.
Frightening, but mesmerizing
like a beast of prey,
like a big cat,
its' movements so graceful,
it's impossible to look away.
Danger stalks,
slinking in the shadows.
These are the Western Woods.
A glimpse of a worn boot
treading gently on dirt paths.
Soft, comfortable clothes
settle handsomely across a lithe frame.
His gait is smooth and sinuous.
He lounges, looking deceptively relaxing.
Dark, deep eyes gaze watchfully out
from a handsome face.
His tongue is a double-edged sword.
It grants protection and mercy.
It delivers righteous wrath.
He is the Judge,
The Just King,
Edmund.
