Laughter drifts on the breeze.
Blue eyes twinkle
Like the sun on the waves
Behind her.
Bare feet toss up warm sand.
Her skirt swirls around her legs.
Her figure twirls and darts,
Fading in and out of sight
Like the ebbing and flowing of the tides.
She is free.
She is a being of wind and sea,
Not a dangerous creature to be tamed.
She is a wild thing
And she belongs
To the wind and the sea
And Aslan.
She is Narnia's
Valiant Queen.

P.S. To celebrate reaching over a hundred reads on this little collection, I'm taking Narnian prompts. Submit a request to me through either the comments or messaging and I'll try to write something for you. It doesn't have to be poetry; I can write one-shots, blurbs, flash fiction.
