Stone.
It does not heed
The tears that
Are shed.
Tears of anguish.
Tears of blood.
Blood of sacrifice.
Blood spilt
On an altar of sacrifice.
A stone altar
Crowning a hill.
A hill of sacrifice
Watered by tears.
Tears shed
For innocent blood:
The blood of a lion,
The blood of a lamb.
But dawns breaks-
Spreads its' new light
On innocent blood.
The stone altar
Shatters and breaks
