Prologue

 There are different types of couples in the world. There are the active ones, the chatty ones and the ones who are opposites. Why do I start with the talk about couples? Because I am in one.

My name is Ryan. Ryan Little. I'm sixteen and I have the privilege of being in a relationship with the most beautiful girl in the world. Her name is Sarah and she's also sixteen. I know sixteen year olds who love to spend hundreds of pounds on designer clothes or who are addicted to social networks. But Sarah isn't like that. She does spend lots of money but only on books. Books are her comfort when she isn't with me. Her bedroom is like the library which is never-ending and stocked up to the ceiling full of books.

Sarah is beautiful. She has long brown wavy hair and wears thick glasses. Very often, she has a book in her hand and her favourite boyband blasting out in her headphones. Of course, her boyband first love are One Direction. She lives with her parents in the centre of town in a really noisy flat. I live in an estate on the outskirts of town. The estate is often quite loud due to the nearby skate park. The last time that I went skateboarding, I ended up falling off my board and that was seriously no laughing matter.

My favourite band are called McFly. Why I hear you ask? Because I love their song Love Is Easy. It kinda reassures me when I am with Sarah that love is indeed easy. I always used to listen to the advice of my best mate Jake until the day he told me that, 'Love is the most complicated thing in the world.' Well, he hasn't fallen in love with a girl yet. I'm still waiting for the day when I can witness that.

One song does describe me and Sarah beautifully. It's called You & I by One Direction. Sarah told me that the lyrics speak out to her and tell her perfectly about both of us as a couple.

'We will never be like them.' in particular as our relationship is with a different twist.

Don't get me wrong. Me and Sarah do things like cuddles and kissing. But, we didn't go anywhere too popular for our first date. At least, not with the crew from our school.

So, why am I writing our life love story down? I wasn't born to be a writer but when you want to remember the good times, there are various ways that you can interpret that. I chose writing because then, I won't get a sore throat from talking too much and due to my English writing grade slowly creeping up. I credit Sarah obviously for her English knowledge. Just where would I be without her?

This is our story. Of myself and Sarah. I hope this won't be too cliché for you. Trust me, there's a lot to see including how this one song brought us both together and changed both of our lives and perspectives in a way which I could never have imagined.

To do this, I must travel back in time. Back to the summer term and the consequences of making choices.

I hope you will follow my words dear friend or whoever may stumble onto this. Everything that I will say are things that I do remember and are truthful. I wasn't brought up to tell lies or write lies. But who thought I was always the good kid?
