"Y/n wake up , you have a visitor." My mom shouted. "Huh? What?" I shouted back, Oh shit (realization lol) I forgot the parade! I put on my clothes and ran to the door, opening it to see Eddie.

"Dude what the fuck are you doing here I thought Richie or Bev was going to come by , Eh oh well let's go!" I said. " What, yeah okay." Eddie said confused.

We rode our bikes to the middle of the parade seeing them all bunched up talking to each other, mean while Richie had a grabbed one of these band members instruments and Eddie got off his bike to get some ice cream.

I walked over to the group , "Hey guys, who's this guy," I said poking unknown human in the face. "Uh my name is mike."Mike said. "Oh welp cool," I turned my focus from mike to the others who were staring at a poster of a missing kid.

"What happened to him?" I asked. " They said they found his hand all chewed up near the stand pipe." Stan said. " He asked to borrow a pencil once." Ben said back looking over at me.

I frowned than Bill pulled up the poster revealing Betty Ripson's missing poster. " I-It's l-like she's b-been f-forgot-t-ten be-because Corcoran i-is missin-g-g."

I looked back hearing Richie get into an argument with one of the marching band members, "What the fuck," Richie shouted. I shook my head. " Is it ever going to end?" Stan asked.

"What are you guys talking about?" Eddie asked coming back with two ice cream cones." What they always talk about." Richie said grabbing one of the ice cream cones.

" But we weren't talking about Eddie's mom." I said back." I wasn't talking about you dipshit." Richie retorted." Wow I'm so hurt." I said sticking my tongue out

" Actually I think it will end , for a little while at least."Ben said. " What do you mean?" Bev asked.

"So I was going over all my Derry research and I charted out all the big events , The iron explosive in 1908 , The Bradley gang in 35 and The black spot in 62 and now kids being I realized this stuff seems to happen ...." every 27 years Ben and Bill said in sync.

 "Okay so let me get this straight it comes out from wherever to eat kids for like a year, and than what it just goes into hibernation." Eddie said. "Maybe it's like what do you call it, cicadas ,you know the bugs that come out once every 17 years."Stan said back.

 "My grandfather thinks this town is cursed. He says that all the bad things that happen in this town are because of one thing , an evil thing that feeds off of people from Derry." Mike said.

"But it can't be we all saw something different." Stan said. "Maybe or maybe it knows what scares us the most and that's what we see. " Mike replied.
