"I think I have to go home now." I shyly said.

I appreciated his apology but I was still hurt.

"Sure, but let's get you cleaned up first. I'll find you some clothes too." Gavin said. I think I could see a blush on his cheeks while he looked at me huddled under the blanket.

I let him put a hand around my waist, he supported me and walked me up the stairs.

I guess we were in an underground bunker, as when he pushed the doors up we were outside.

There was lots of tiny homes scattered around the woods. He guided me towards the largest of all the homes, a two-story styled cabin with a large wrap around front porch.

Walking in I felt several pairs of eyes looking at us, looking at me specifically. I kept my eyes on the ground though, I'm sure I looked really pathetic at this point.

I think Gavin could tell I was uncomfortable as he growled, "look away."

We walked up the stairs into a large grey bedroom. His maybe? but it kind of looked like nobody used this room too. All the matching furniture was in a dark color stain. The bedding was a cream color. But looking around the room a bit more, it lacked personality. There wasn't any posters or pictures hanging. Everything looked neat and clean.

"This is ou..My room. I'll grab you some of my clothes. Theirs a bathroom behind that door" He motioned his head to a door at the other side of the room.

I walked over and opened the door to find a very large grey tiled bathroom. I closed the door and locked it. I cringed when I saw my reflection in the mirror. I was beyond dirty. I dropped the blanket I had around me and turned my back towards the mirrow. There was bits of dried blood but no open wounds.

There was a couple of knocks on the door which spooked me because I was to engrossed at looking at my appearance.
"I found some clothes for you." Gavin said.
I hesitated to open the door. Once I did, I only opened it enough to allow for my arm to fit through. Extending my hand out he placed the clothes in my hand.

I closed the door locking it again.

"Take your time, I'll be out here ok." His voice was full of concern. Which I liked but at the same time found strange. We barely knew each other but even with what happened I wanted to stay here with him.

I did take my time showering. I washed my hair twice, scrubbing out dirt and blood. After washing my body I stayed under the warm water, thinking about nothing.

The warm water was starting to get cold. So I shut it off and walked out of the shower. I wrapped my hair up in a white fluffy towel and grabbed another to dry my body with.

I looked at the clothes that Gavin had brought me. A white tee and grey sweatpants. They fit really loose on me. Gavin was a foot taller than me so I had to roll up the sweatpants hem a couple of times.

"Hey Gavin," I called from the inside the bathroom.

"Whats wrong cher? Are you ok? You need something?" I heard him anxiously say from right outside the door.

"Umm... Its just that the shirt... Is kind of see through." I really shouldn't complain but, "can I borrow a different one."

I heard him move from the door only to knock again a moment later.

I opened it just enough to reach out and grab the shirt from him, locking it again. It was a black tank top this time. Though a better fit, I didn't like that you can notice my nips. I put the white tee over it.

I didn't see a brush anywhere so combed my fingers through my hair a few times before walking out of the bathroom.

He was waiting for me on his bed patiently. He had a couple of books in his hands. I'm not sure where he got them from there wasn't a bookshelf anywhere in his room.

"Can you take me home now." I quietly asked. I honestly wanted to stay here with him, I guess it was my wolf wanting to stay near her mate. But after what I just went through I wanted to go home.

"Sure. Yeah, I'll take you home." Gavin sounded hurt. He got off the bed and walked with the books in his hands toward the door. I followed behind him out of his room and down the stairs.

There wasn't anybody around this time down stairs. The place looked empty of people now.

He grabbed some keys that were hanging near the door and opened the front door. It had started to rain, now that it was October it rained a lot more often.

We walked out onto the porch but I stopped before going further.

"What's wrong cher?" He said in a voice full of concern.

"You didn't give me any shoes. I... dont..." I kept my face down when I said this. He's probably thinking I'm a bit spoiled since I keep complaining.

Before I could react he had lifted me up princess style and walked carrying me towards a black BMW SUV. I couldn't help but blush when I was being so close to him. He placed me onto the passenger seat and then ran over towards the drivers side getting in. The books he was carrying he placed on my lap.

"Those are for you." He shyly said.

"What are they for?" I picked the books up trying to read the title but both of the covers were blank.

"They uhh.. they're for... they're for the human mates to study. Since you are unfamiliar with being a wolf I thought it would be a good idea if you looked through them and learned a bit of the packs laws and stuff." He was very serious as he said this.

"Thanks,...I guess." I said looking at the books confused.
Suddenly I'm supposed to just read this stuff to answer all of the questions I have?

He turned on the car and drove. Neither one of us seemed in the mood to talk.

He really did live on a massive property. All along the road down until we reached a main road there was tiny houses scattered around. It maybe half an hour to drive back to my home. Looking at the dashboard clock it was 2 in the morning.

He pulled up in the driveway and turned the engine off.

"Are you going to school tomorrow?" He asked, in a voice sounding hopeful.

"No. I think I'll stay home." Even though I had already planned to stay home, I really was tired I probably wouldn't have woken up to get to school on time anyway.

"Oh," he hesitantly said, "Can I stop by to visit you tomorrow then?"

I thought before saying "Sure. Come over whenever you get the chance."

His whole face lit up, smiling he said, "Great."

He got off the car and ran over to the passenger door opening it for me. Since it was still raining I let him scoop me up into his arms. Carrying me up till the front door of the house.

We had said goodnight to each other before he walked back to the car. I quietly walked up stairs into my room crashing onto my bed and falling asleep.
