I wake up before my alarm could go off but seeing as I still had 5 more minutes till it was 6:45 a.m. I decided to stay in bed staring at the ceiling.

Tu me (tu me) vois pas🎶

Lowering the volume of my Ipod alarm clock, I got out bed and stretched.

Since it was homecoming week all Varsity cheerleaders were supposed to wear their cheer outfits all week long. Alternating each outfit with different pieces each day. Today it was our home top and skirt and yellow spanks. But since it was end the of September the Autumn weather was starting to kick in. The mornings were really dark and cold while the afternoons were sunny and warm.

Even with such little to cover my legs and arms, I wasn't cold. My body was naturally warm all the time.

After applying some mascara and eyeliner, I applied my favorite nude lip gloss with a rose undertone on my lips.

Our hair was also supposed to be uniform, I brushed my hair into a high ponytail. Tying a black and yellow ribbon around it.

Heading downstairs, I got several glances from the younger girls along the way to the kitchen. Admiration maybe? I couldn't really make out what their eyes tried to say.

Grabbing only an apple before heading out the door with my backpack on and my pompoms hanging down a strap.

I walked to school getting honked at every now and again. I was used to this by now. Whenever I had to wear the short cheer uniform to school I would be honked at.

St. Andrews High School, home of the Wolverines.

I quickly walked towards my locker. Which regrettably was a bottom locker. Having to bend down was a pain everytime. But I placed my pompoms inside and took out my statistics book out slamming the door shut and twisting the lock a few times making sure it locked.

The first warning bell rang and I made it threw the crowd of students to my class.

The first half of the day was a blur. I kept my eyes down walking between classes I wasn't being humble when I said I wasn't popular. I had zero friends. By lunch I usually grabbed my tray of food and sat several seats away from the kids who brought their Yu Gi Oh cards to school. They didn't bother me and I didn't bother them.

After lunch there was supposed to be a pep rally. I finished my cheese zombie and headed towards the gym after grabbing my pompoms from my locker.

"Misty, I hope you don't mind but could you start the cheers for the assembly's this week." Said coach Laura.

It was normal for seniors to do the pep rallies. But I glanced at the other seniors and it was clear that this was pushed onto me because if there was a mess up on the routine it would be the leaders fault.

"Sure, I don't mind."

"Great, thanks." Turning to the other girls showing up she hollered, "Ok ladies. 2 laps around the gym for warm ups," after several groans came from the squad she said, "Yeah, yeah. I don't want anyone to get a cramp during the routine. Just be glad it's not a full warm up."

After her words several girls faces changed to pleasing grins. Laura was no joke of a coach, each practice was like boot camp.

After going over the routine a couple of times, students started to walk into the gym. With the AV club starting up the music. After the student council gave their pep speech it was time for the cheer routine.

Getting into our places I yelled, "Ready, Ok!"

It was a flawless routine. Ending the routine with my signiture front handspring and landing with a perfect split. But I got that feeling of someone watching me, which was crazy because of course people were watching me I was doing a routine in front of the whole student body.

After I heard a freshman let out a, whoo-hoo. I gave her a stern look, there was no whooing in cheerleading.

During the assembly the senior cheerleaders were to stay on the stage to present the varsity football players with good luck ribbons.

Our school team had tall lean football players. All over 5'11. It was actually shocking that this school had this many good looking guys. Clearly any of them could be models.

The majority of the girls were no pigs either. Most girls were tall and thin. I on the other hand didn't reach past 5'4.

Presenting the ribbons was a challenge as well. Whenever it was my turn to place a ribbon around their necks I had to reach on my tippy toes in order to get it around their necks. Each time a snicker came from my squad.

None of the players made eye contact with me either it was kind of disappointing, that was until the quarterback Gavin Clark came up to me for his ribbon. He was a at least a foot taller than me. His hazel green eyes were perfect. He had perfect bone structure. His short black hair was perfectly buzzed to fit the shape of his head. His light complexion was a perfect contrast to my own.

He walked up to me and gave me the most intense stare I've ever gotten. Not once did he blink.

I heard the whole student body laugh as he reached to left me up, his forearms grazing my butt as he lifted me. I instantly blushed and hurriedly put the ribbon around his neck. But he hesitated to put me back down.

I didn't dare look back at him or the rest of the crowd after that. I couldn't get his smell out of my mind either. He smelt like the ground right after a rain storm. It was definitely no Yankee candle, but it was intoxicating.

The pep rally finished with a speech from the football coach. And then the students were dismissed back to classes.

After school I still had practice. Which was filled with colder stares than usual from the squad.

I secretly hoped one of my squad mates would offer a me a ride home after practice but no one ever did. Walking home, I still got honked at.
