Chapter 9

RHYHEEM POV

I woke up at August house and everybody was asleep. I took the liberty to leave out. I walked to the bathroom because a nigga had the morning piss coming on strong but somebody was in there. Damn I thought I was the only one woke. I slightly knocked .

" Hollup damn " I heard August say . I chuckled guess he's not a morning person. I took this time to check out his house. Damn it was dope not to mention how big it is.

" Go head bruh . why you up so early ?" August asked me

" Going to make a trip to see my mama " I said enthusiastically " what about you? I asked him

" I'm always up early kiddo , lemme know how it goes wit her and be sure to tell her about us so she won't be surprised when she see me I'll meet you there in a little bit so text the address" August said

" Thanks bruh that means a lot " I spoke honestly.

" It's straight " I heard August say as I closed the bathroom door. I peed and did my hygiene with the extra utensils they had in the bathroom and I was in my way. I know my mama hates the hospital food so I stopped at McDonalds and got her a breakfast platter and some coffee. When I got to the hospital she was up watching Maury. I laughed cause she was talking to the tv.

" He ain't the damn daddy and you know it " she said to the screen.

" Hey ma" I said as I kissed her forehead

" Dang it Rhy you scared me" She said as she gave me a hug , I handed her the food and put the coffee in the cup holster that was attached to her bed . Her face lit up " thanks baby " She said as she devoured it. I just watched her for a while.

" Mama you getting out of here today " I said , she mugged me giving me a worried look.

" I know we behind on hospital bills but they can't just put me out son I won't let em " She said on the verge if tears. I scooted my chair closer to her and I placed my hands on hers. I felt her shaken.

" Ma no it's not like that , I got you a nurse and a new place that a way you could be in the comfort of your home getting better care so we could nurse you up and get you back right " I said so happily . She snatched away from me

" How'd you do it boy ? " she said with authority

" My friend August-"

" AUGUST ALSINA ?" My momma shouted . I couldn't believe my ma was fan girling.

" You know him ?" I asked with my eyebrow in the air

" Mr. I luv this shit " she said I laughed . Before y'all ask my momma is not that old. She is 33 so she too young for this cancer shit to take her out man.

" Anyways mama he wants to meet you "

" Boy you going make me have a heart attack bringing his sexy ass in here "

" Ma" I yelled

" Boy don't come all up in room yelling at me like I ain't grown how you think you got here?"

" Ma ion wanna hear that he married with a baby and one on the way"

" So what? "

I laughed because for a woman in this predicament mama sure was always happy. I climbed in bed wit her so that I could sleep along side of her .

A knock on the door awoke me. I figured it was a nurse but when they knocked at the door again I knew it wasn't . I walked over to the door and it was August.
