Leila's pov
"I can't do it."
"Yes you can."
"They'll find out."
"No they won't."
I grasped the gun that was in my hands, uneasy. Ethan was right beside me. "All you have to do is shoot it, then blood will be everywhere. When they take you somewhere to be buried, you'll be in the casket. But you don't have to worry. I hired the people to pretend that you're actually dead. They won't bury you until everyone's gone. But they won't bury you. So don't worry about that. I'll be watching."
How can he have everything planned and not be freaking out? "You'll be there?" I looked at him with worry in my eyes. This is the first time in awhile I've felt scared.
"I'll be there. You don't have to worry about anything." I looked at the gun, and nodded. Here goes nothing. "All my men know you and Grayson are leaving, so don't worry about them trying to kill you or anything." He nodded, and stood up.
"Good luck. I'll be there to tell you that it's okay to come out. You can do this." I teared up a little bit. I'm literally planning my death. I nodded, and Ethan walked out.
You're probably wondering how i can fake my death with a gun. Well, it's not too hard. I hired a special effects makeup artist and let me tell you - I totally look dead. I'm shocked that someone can do this.
Looking at the gun again, I couldn't believe I was doing this. I'm technically not killing myself, but it feels like I'm killing a part of my life. I won't have to pretend that everything is okay. I won't have to be on my tip toes. I'll be able to be normal. Like I've always wanted to be.
Here we go. I'm going to do it.
-
Ethan's pov
I paced my room. I was scared for her to do this. But if it helps her get back to where she belongs, I'm all for it.
But is she?
I can't stand here doing nothing. I need to distract myself.
Grayson's pov
I sat up slowly, still in pain. Leila may be small, but she's fucking strong. I knew that when she first punched me when me and Ethan first kidnapped her.
Stop thinking about that.
I don't want to remember my past. The things I did.
I thought about Leila for a long time. I've watched her run away from me multiple times. And now here she is, not running. She's pointing a gun at me, actually. Like right now.
She's in my room. Pointing a gun at me.
"Leila?" I furrowed my eyebrows, watching the gun with my hands already in the air.
"I forgot to ask you a question." She spoke, taking a step closer to me. I gulped. I did not want to be shot. "Why did you do it?" A tear fell down her cheek, taking another step towards me.
"D-do what?" I watched her face, theming to figure out if she would actually shoot me.
"Why did you, take my virginity away from me?" She shook, taking a few more steps forward. I looked her in the eyes.
"I-I don't know." She shook her head, and cocked the gun in her hand, ready to shoot.
"You do know, Grayson. Why did you do it!" She yelled.
"I'm sorry." I whispered, looking at her with fear. "I can't make any excuses for it. Just please know that I'm sorry." I closed my eyes, making a tear slip out from my eyes.
"I will never forget what you did." I nodded, opening my eyes again, only to see the gun pointing at her. My eyes widened.
"Leila what are you-"
"And I hate to say this but I forgive you." I furrowed my eyebrows, slowly standing up.
"Leila put the gun down."
"See you later." And then it happened. She shot herself in the head.
I've never actually seen someone die really. But seeing someone die right in front of me, leaves me speechless.
Blood splattered everywhere. Then she fell to the ground. Lifeless.
I ran over to her body, grabbing her bloody face.
"Leila!" I screamed, knowing she couldn't hear me. Tears were now streaming down my face like a waterfall. Blood stained my hands.
That's when people came running in here. Leila's men. They watched Leila's body in horror. They stood there, not knowing what to do.
I cried for a long time in that position. I can't explain why I cried. It could be because of the lifestyle that I've lived in my whole life. It could be because I saw someone take there own life right in from of me. All I know is that I will never forget about this moment. I will forever regret everything that I did in the past.
I looked at Leila's face. Her eyes were closed. The gun was still locked in her hands. I grabbed the gun, and held it. Looking at Leila, I didn't want anyone else to die. So, I unloaded the gun. I through the leftover bullets everywhere. I threw the gun across the room. Then I went back to crying over Leila.
All this time I've wanted her dead. But now that I see her dead, all I want now is for her to be alive. And now, thanks to me, she's never going to be alive. She'll be a lifeless corpse forever.
I looked back over to where the gun was. There was a bullet right next to the gun.
I feel so guilty. I am the cause of her death. There's a life on my hands. I can't live with that. It's already eating at me.
I stood up, with Leila's men still standing in the doorway, talking to each other about what to do next. Everything was blurry with the tears in my eyes.
Grabbing the gun and bullet, I sat against the wall, and tried to load it. That's when Ethan came in. He grabbed the gun, and looked at me.
"Don't do it."
