Love? Yeah Right! (Completed)

Chapter Ten

     My side still ached when the emts pulled out my ivs.

     "You will be realised today, but you will have to be in a wheel chair for about ten days" one of the paramedics told me. This was something I was not looking forward to. I looked at the calender on the wall.

    "Already January 30th?" I mumbled to myself 

    "The valitine dance is in 15 days"

   As I sat in my wheel chair, I realized Marley had been gone for almost five hours.

    "Is Marley still here?" I asked my mom. She shook her head

   "She went home two minutes after she came" I sighed.

    "It's probably my fault to" I mumbled. Malikai held my hand no and squeezed it reassuringly.

   "Oh no" I gasped.

    "YOU read my mind!" Malikai looked as if he wasn't worried but still he pulled out his phone and excused us from everyone else.

   I tried to wheel faster but I thought I looked like an idiot. Running out the back doors, I hulicinated something I honestly wish was true.

    Malikai was wagging his tail, sniffing car tracks for signs of Marley. His fluffy  ears twitched and I leaned forward to pet his head.

   Reality came back and I blushed awkwardly. "I think we should follow these tracks" and I think I'm still on my anibotics I added to myself. Malikai stared at me for a second longer before following the tracks. After wait felt like forever of loosing and refinding the path, we arrived at a ware house that looked as old as time.

     "In here" Malikai concluded. We heard a small yelp from underground and headed into the building.

   "Shh... there are gaurds." I nodded and stepped away to make sure my phone was all set in case we needed to call the police. Malikai turned to look at me, his eyes flickering as he seemed remember I was still in a wheel chair.

  "You should stay here" he whispered. For once I didn't refuse.

    "Be safe and if Marley is here, please return with her." I kissed him and wheeled my self out of the building. He is going to be safe I thought.

    "One more thing, call the police, I have a bad feeling about this place" he said, and I wheeled out the door. Trying to stand up once the doors were closed, I grunted angerly when I realized my legs were to weak.

     "Great. My boyfriend is risking his life for my best friend and I can't even walk. Just Wonderful"

Marley pov

   "For the past four hours I had been working on... I don't even know what! And now your telling me that it is time to get into a freaking tube?"

    I said crossly to hănna who was hooking cords to her arms.

   "Everyone here does it. It's how we sleep. Come on, the people at least let us lucid dream when we're here. It's the only good thing about this dump" lucid dream? I thought. Where had I  heared that word before. "And In case you don't know, 
A lucid dream is a dream during which the dreamer is aware of dreaming. During lucid dreaming, the dreamer may be able to exert some degree of control over the dream characters, narrative, and environment. Or at least, that's what Wikipedia once told me." Hănna looked impatient as I stood there

     "come on, hook yourself with this one here and here and this one here" she pointed to a blue wire and a red wire and proceded to teach me how it worked.
