"W-Why is this happening?"

"I don't know, don't ask me," Watanabe says, shaking her head, "Maybe she just wants me to come over."

I deny that remark outright, "No, no, and no. My mom doesn't just invite someone over. She wants something."

Watanabe pouts, "How rude."

"It's not like that," I reply, "If you were to stop by at our house and physically be there, then she'll definitely bring you in and even make you a meal. But she never just flat out invites someone over call."

She glares at me, looking both concerned and confused, "Uh..huh..."

"Whatever," I sigh, "It doesn't matter, let's just go."

She nods, picking up all her sheet music on the piano, "You can go on without me, I just need put all of these in my folder."

"Idiot, you don't even know where my house is."

I walk over there to assist her, however before I even make it to the piano, she slips on sheet that she misplaced on the floor, causing her to fall over.

"Ahhh-!" She screams as she collapses. Her folder falls upon her face, along with all the sheets spreading across the floor again.

"Pfft-"

I begin to laugh, harder than I laughed before, though it seems as if my face becomes a little hotter. Watanabe just lays there, for what seems she's contemplating her life, which makes this situation a little funnier and cuter.

"Dummy, don't laugh at me like that," She whines, moving her hands all over the place while still laying upon the floor.

I chuckle, Oh, how the tables have turned...

I kneel down to her as she picks up the folder from her face. Aw, she's pouting.

I would say she's cute, but I can't ever tell her that.

It's strange, isn't it? The more I'm with her, the more I seem to fall in love with her.

It's stupid. But it can't be helped.

For a split second, we make direct contact with eachother spontaneously.

I quickly turn my head to the side, "You want me to help you up?"

She continues to pout, "I'm just fine, jerk."

"Mean," I smile, "Like you never laughed at me before."

"Well-" She begins, picking up her papers on the floor, with me helping her, "I usually make fun of you, it's not fair."

"Uh-huh."

"Whatever, dumb," She sticks her tongue out, "Let's just go already."

I give her all the piles of sheets to her, chuckling. She pouts as she stuffs all of it in her folder puts the folder in her bag, she knows she lost this round.

"Mom must be waiting," I sigh, "I'm not sure how this is gonna go."

____________

We walk up to the front door of my house, both unsure and concerned. I'm more hesitant than Watanabe, of course.

I unlock the door, but before I can actually open it, it swings open, causing me to step back in shock. However, with loss of proper footing, I collapse onto the floor, feeling a bit of a sting on the palms of my hands.

"There you are Akiro! I was becoming worried!"

I hear Watanabe chuckle behind of me as I counter her.

"You literally just called me like 5 minutes ago!"

"5 minutes is all too much," she pretends to stutter as she fake cries. She then quickly looks over behind me, "Is that who I think it is?"

Mom zooms across me, not even thinking about helping me on my feet. I sigh as she vigorously shakes Watanabe's hand over and over.

"Hi, nice to meet you! I heard so much about you~!"

"Uh! Yeah! Um-! Hi!" Watanabe stutters, she seems both shocked and concerned, which she should be.

"Thank you for being a sweetheart for my baby boy-"

I stand up and start to yell at her, along with my face growing a shade of red, "I'm not a little kid! I'm 16!"

She smacks my head, "And still growing. Come on sweetie," She turns to Watanabe, "Let's go make you a nice cup of tea."

I sigh, in both sadness and relief, as Watanabe follows Mom into the house, with me tagging along the sidelines.

"So, how long have you known Akiro?"

"Uhh-" she spews, stumbling upon her words, "I've known him for around four months or so now."

Mom awes, "Oo~ that is absolutely adorable!"

"Huh?!" Watanabe exclaims in confusion.

"Come on sweetheart!" Mother snuggles Watanabe, although she seems extremely uncomfortable, "Let's go get something to eat! Come in, have a seat!"

I can feel Watanabe's tension as she nods her head slightly, as if she doesn't know what to say.

We head towards the dinner table, filled with plates and utensils already laid out in proper side of the dish.

"Watanabe here," I say, pulling out the seat next to me.

She smiles as she sits upon the chair adjacent to mine as I take a seat as well.

We all grab are servings of rice and the main dish and begin to eat.

However, this all feels way too sudden.

I turn to Watanabe, who hasn't begun to eat the platter laid out for her.

But, it's not like I'm in control of the situation.

"So~" Mom intones, "I assume you have stellar grades and talent such as Akiro, yes?"

She grins as Watanabe turns her head to the side.

"Ah..not exactly.."

"Hmm?"

"Mom!" I interrupt, "Did you know Watanabe has never had kimchi before?"

Mother gasps as Watanabe turns to me, "Sweetie! You never had it before?"

"Well," Watanabe responds, turning to me, confused and somewhat irritated. She turns back to Mom and sighs, "Actually...no I haven't.."

I guessed right...

"Well, it's common for us to have it," I reply to Mom, "Dad was full Korean."

"Really?" Watanabe raises her eyebrows, "You're half Korean, Prez?"

I nod as Mom pulls Watanabe to the dinner table, "That makes it even more to take a seat! Come on Minami! Sit down!"
