Violet's POV
"Five, six, seven, eight!" I shout at the top of my lungs, enjoying the scared little jumps from my students. My dancers. I teach at an Academy based on the arts. It's a different type of high school.
Here, kids with all kinds of talents study and develop their talents.
I love my job.
They look at me apologetically.
"I said I wanted you practicing when I got back." Nova, one of my favorites, grins at me. Always the flirt. Can you picture him? About six feet of hard, well built muscle, a gorgeous baby face and black silky hair, short and spiky. Being seventeen, he shouldn't be allowed to be so handsome.
"C'mon, Baby. You're not really mad, are you." He winks one of those gray-blue eyes at me. The girls swoon, except Ava, another one of my favorites. Being his sister, that would be weird.
Novaiden and Avalon Hayden are my favorite pair of twins.
They look exactly alike, but she is shorter and has all those feminine curves, of course. They are equally gorgeous and talented.
Now, don't have a heart attack.
Everybody calls me Baby, if you have seen Dirty Dancing, you would understand why. My best friends, Angelina and Daniel came up with calling me that. The love to get me drunk to see me dance that way.
Not that it happens a lot...
"This routine is boring." Complains Kelly. The blonde trying to shove her breasts into Nova's shoulder. The class gives her a look.
I smirk. Maybe I shouldn't speak this way about my students, but she's a total bitch. Now, I agree with her on this. Before our competitions, I show them a routine to warm up, and they are usually boring.
It's strategy. If they are bored for a while, they take the new routines for competition with much more enthusiasm.
"Be quiet." Nova dismisses her. My hero.
"I think it's the perfect warm up. We've been slacking lately." Says Nicole, another one of my girls. She stares daggers at Kelly's back. You think it's because of what she said, but it really is because she has a thing for Nova.
"No, I'm not mad, Novaiden." I say causing him to give me a disgusted look. He hates his full name. "But you will show me the boring routine, through and through." Twenty pairs of eyes widen. "If it's not perfect...you will be in serious trouble." They all move to their assigned positions. I am easy going with them, but I am also a perfectionist. I tend to get cranky when things aren't perfect.
Just a little.
"Alright. From from the top."
After an hour and a half (the half was punishment for not doing the routine perfectly) of non-stop dancing, class is over.
I'm looking foward to a shower in the locker room. I am drenched in sweat.
"Care to join me at the showers, Baby?" I turn to Nova, who is standing beside Ava. She is smirking, freeing her long jet black curls from the messy bun on the top of her head.
