Chapter Thirty: Deal
This is to all you you yearning for some action. This is the thirtieth chapter and I'm so happy to have made it this far. Enjoy.
Sorry for the late update, I slept off yesterday nightThe stars twinkled above us and made me forget my mom's warning to return early.
I snuggled closer into his arms that were wrapped around me. The rollercoaster gradually moved, transferring us higher.I dared not to look down in case I developed fear of heights. Instead I let myself get lost in his scent- a mix of vanilla and a musky woody smell.
I could feel his warm breath fanning my face and I felt my face turn crimson.
"Cherry? What are you thinking about?" His voice interrupted my personal thoughts.
"Huh? Nothing" I shook my head.
"Your cheeks doesn't say the same" he pinched my nose.
I slapped his hands away and snuggled closer to him.
"We are getting higher you know? Look down""No" I refused because I knew looking down would make me nervous.
"Okay. Look around"
"No" I stood my ground.
"Okay. But you're really missing out you know. Besides, there's a cockroach crawling up your feet"
That got me. I shrieked and looked at my feet only to meet nothing."Fuck Jason!! I could have fallen down!!" I reprimanded him.
"But you didn't" he flashed me a killer grin and continued " But you looked down. Wasn't so bad"
I grunted and dared to look down again. I could make out the heads of people chattering, dancing, and having fun.
People gathered at the concession stand and children were screaming in pleasure on the merry go round next to us.I listened carefully and I could hear the faint music of it- the merry go round and recognized it.
It was Symphony by Zara Larrson and I doubted if the kids knew it but I bobbed my head and mouthed the lyrics."Jason?" I called still looking at the bubbly children hopping around.
"Yes?"
"Listen. To the song over there" I pointed.
"I love that song. What about you?" I turned to face him.
I had miscalculated the distance between us and found myself staring at his face. We were less than an inch apart and I could feel our nose brushing against each other."Listen " he held my hand and I closed my eyes to listen to the lyrics.
And when you're gone, I feel incomplete so if you want the truth
"Do you wanna know the truth?" He asked and I immediately shivered as I felt his breath on my face.
"What?" I croaked opening my eyes.
"I - " I craned my head to look at him but instead, he moved in and placed his lips on mine.
I stood still unable to process what was happening. Jason was kissing me.
What should I do? What was I gonna do?
I could feel him gently nibbling my lower lip and I followed his movements.
I was pretty sure I was a terrible kisser but I still did it anyways. This was my first kiss. This was my first date. He was my first boyfriend. Things finally seemed like they were clicking in place.
I let my hands wander in his hair and felt his hands circle my waist and drag me closer.Sooner, we had to separate because obviously we needed air but I wished it never ended. I looked up into his face and noticed a small smile on his face.
