Chapter Thirteen: I love it

"Where the hell is Aurora" Jason cursed under his breath.
Jason and I had been sitting in the car, waiting for Aurora for twenty minutes.

"She didn't mention anything to me" I sigh, already hungry.

"What was that sound?" Jason asked.

I quickly realized that it was my stomach grumbling in response to my hunger.
Embarrassed, I groan, my face resuming its beet red color.

"You know you look so cute when you blush Cherry"

Shocked, I looked at him to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

I wasn't. And the realization made me burn, made my cheeks go on fire.
He chuckled, a lighthearted chuckle that made the butterflies in my stomach fly.

"Every time I say something, you get all red"

"Uh.." I mutter.

I wanted to disappear. My cheeks were making matters worse and I couldn't control them. I took in deep breaths.

"Don't. I love it"
I practically choked.
"You what?" I asked unsure.

"I love when you blush" he repeated, aware of the impact he was making on me.
This was torture.
I tried to change the topic by coughing instead, he leaned towards me, leaving a few inches between us.

"Are you okay?" He asked so tenderly, I wanted to hug him.

"Yeah..yeah" What did he expect me to say?. That he was my ultimate crush and him talking to me makes me melt like butter?

He looks into my eyes.

They are green. So green I want to swim in them. So captivating.
So inviting.

"You shouldn't be embarrassed Cherry"

"Who says I am?" I challenged for the first time, slowly regaining my voice.

"One, two, there it is" he said and stroked my cheeks.

On cue, they lit up, coloring my face.
"Fuck" I swear.

I can feel his hand, still stroking my face. I am aware of the unspoken chemistry between us.
I can't believe this is real.
I can hear my heartbeat. Fast and loud.

He didn't stop stroking my cheek.

I wondered what he was thinking of and look at him.
Instantly I was captivated by his green eyes looking at me.

My mouth runs dry and I slightly part it.

"Oh God. Please don't hear my heartbeat. Please God."  I pray trying to mask my nervousness.

He moves forward and I can feel his breath on me.
I inhale his cologne and my legs melt at the scent.
I can't believe this is happening!
I dreamt of this everyday and night.

"Wow wow wow!" Aurora's voice interrupted us, so sudden that I jerked backwards, hitting my head.

"What just happened in here?" She asked, plastering a huge grin on her face.

I can't believe what just happened also.
I almost kissed Jason Connor!!!!!
I almost kissed the love of my life.

Wait does that mean he loves me too?

"We've been waiting for you Aurora" Jason informs her.
"Obviously"

"Get in the car" he ordered.

Laughing, she entered and did me the favour of not asking us silly questions.

I look at him through the rear view mirror.

Those green eyes were focused on the road.

I unconsciously touch my lips and smile.

I look up to see him looking at me, smiling.
