Imani POV:
I ran up the ladder to the jungle gym. When I almost reached the top, which was really high, my foot slipped and I started to fall. I screamed, but nothing came out. I guess I was too scared. Then, I landed. And when I thought it was my last second to live, I opened my eyes. I looked around to see something beautiful holding me. It was Jaden. "Am I in heaven?" I asked, confused. I was confused because I thought I died, and because he was holding me. "Naw I just caught you," Jaden said chuckling. "Thanks," I said cheesing. We stared at each other what felt like forever. Thank you, gravity. "Um, are gonna put her down?" Willow said, tapping her foot. He quickly put me down. His hands felt... good on me. It felt as if we were the only two in the playground. It felt so good to be in his arms. It felt... special. I headed up the ladder again, but this time, Jaden's hands were on my hips. They were very soft. "Be careful this time," he said. When I reached the top, I ran to the slide ll the way on the right end, because you can sit and converate there. I wanted to get to know them. They sat with me. We started talking about anything and everything. We talked about what life was in back in Cali for them, and there friends. Jaden seemed sad when he talked about Moises and Mateo and all his other friends. Probably because he missed them so much. "What is school and friends and life around here for you?" Willow asked. I told them I met new friends, but my best friends were Ananda, Taylor, and Jeanise. But Jeanise was like a sister, so I guess that doesn't count. "Most of the time, all my friends sit together at lunch, but we fill up two tables. And school is boring, but it's filled with tweaks and man whores. I don't really worry about the man whores, mainly because I have a boyfriend. But I do have a little harmless crush on this one boy," I said. "How are the girls tweaks and the boys man whores?" asked Jaden. "Everyone has too many bodies (Bodies are people they have sex with) but that's mainly the 8th graders. I mean, the boys are badd as fuck, but I don't really care about them. And the girls are fake. Just be careful who become friends with, especially since y'all are famous," I said. I don't wanna see any of them hurt. That would break my heart. "How about my school?" Willow said. "Well, I don't really know because 5th and 6th graders are split up," I said. (Guys this is for 2011-2012 school year so Willow is in the 5th grade, I hope I'm right) "Oh," was all she said. I knew she was disappointed. Suddenly, her eyes lit the fuck up. "What's in the mall?" she asked. "Like what? Stores? Resturants?" I said. "Everything!" she said. "Um... Forever 21, Garage, Hot Topic, Aeropostale (I hate that store. Sorry, lets get back to the story), H&M, Holliste, Abercrombie, Claires... those are the only ones that come to mind. There's resturants like TGI Fridays, Bravo! (Never been there before), The Cheesecake Factory, and Ruby Tuesdays. But there's a food court which has three different asian food places, Salad Works, Enerjuice, Auntie Anne's, and Chick Fil-A. There used to be 2 pizza places, but one got shut down, and the other one turned into an asian food place. And there used to be a Taco Bell, but that turned into Enerjuice. Ahh! Those were the days..." I said, remenising. I got snapped out of my thoughts. "Can you show us around one day? Like... tomorrow?" Willow said. She gave me a puppy dog face. Her eyes though. They were beautiful. I looked at Jaden. His eyes were... perfect. Their family was perfectly beautiful. I stared at myself. I hated my body. It wasn't good looking. I didn't have big tits, and my ass wasn't flat, but wasn't round either. And my hips were just ugly. And my face. My ugly nose. My overly sized lips, my tiny eyes, my nasty eyebrows. And my long eyes lashes. They were so long, I can't even put on mascara. "Imani are you ok?" Jaden asked, touching my thigh. He looked a little concerned. "Yeah," I said putting on a fake smile. "And we can definitely go to the mall tomorrow. But I don't know how I'll get there," I said. My mom would love to drive, but I don't know if she'll drive US to the mall. If I ask, she'll probably say something like, "Nuh uh. You just hung out with them yesterday. You acting too clingy." And if I said Willow asked, she'll be like, "Nuh uh." "It's okay, we can take you," Jaden said. I knew she'd say the same thing. I smiled nervously. "It's okay, we're sure you can come," he said smiling. That felt good. "Ok than that's a plan?" I said. "Yup!" said Willow excitedly. "Wait there's one more problem," I said. "I have no money," I said. I could window shop, but it would just look depressing, watching them buy all this shit. "It's ok, we got you," Jaden said. Ugh I think I'm the happiest girl in the world.
When we got back, I told them bye and told them I'd text them when I got the news. I step in and bring the mail with me. "Hey mom!" I said, walking in. "Hey baby," she said. "How were the neighbors?" "Oh nothing really, just that their the Smith family," I said sarcastically not caring. "Stop lying," she said. "No mom I'm dead freaking serious," I said, watching my language. "Really?" she asked. "Yes and their so nice!" I said. "Oh I'll have to meet them," she said. I was about to head to my room, until I noticed I had mail in my hand. "Mom, there's some mail for you!" I said. She took the mail. She went through everything until she came to a small envelope. She opened it, smiled, them frowned. "Mom what's wrong?" I said. "Nothing," she sighed. "I wanna know though," I whined. "Well I got invited to a party by Ms. Ruby for tomorrow, but it's a sleepover kinda," she said. "Well what's the big deal?" I asked confused. "I have to watch you," she said. "Oh true," I said. Just then, a bright idea popped in my head. "Do you really wanna go to the party?" I asked. "Really bad," she said. "Why?" "Well... Willow asked if I could show her and Jaden around the mall tomorrow. And I was wondering if they could take me... and then I sleep over their house..." I said scared as shit. My mom thought about it. Finally, she said, "Sure." "Mom please you have to let me g-... Wait you said yes?" I said suprised. "Yes, but I want to speak to their parent," my mother said. "As always. But I have to text her first," I said. I ran upstairs to my room and whipped out my phone. I texted her as fast as I could, and sure enough, she said her mom said ok. I told her we'd come over so my mom could talk to them. She said ok. "Mom we can go!" I yelled coming downstairs. We walked out the door and rang the doorbell. It opened and Willow told us to come in. They weren't completely settled, but the living room and was set up and the kitchen had more than the table in there. "Hi! I'm Jada and this is Will!" said Jada shaking my mother's hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm Loretta, Imani's mother," my mother said cheesing. "You can go upstairs with Willow if you want to if that's all right with your pretty mom," said Will. "Sure run along," my mother said. I ran upstairs with Willow. When we reached her room, she had everything in there. I looked around in my room in amazement. It had a window on the left side of the room, so I'm guessing she had the same room as my sister, since my sister had a window on the right in her room. We talked the whole time, until my mother said it was time to go. We left, and my mother said I could spend the night over her house. Man, these are gonna be the best 3 days of my life...
