Jaden POV (A month later on a Friday):

"OH MY GOSH! THE SCHOOL DANCE IS TONIGHT! AHHHHHH!" Imani screamed in 7th period. "Imani stop screaming," Mrs. Rennix scolded. "Yeah you nearly broke my ear drums," Marisa said, cupping her hands over her ears. I laughed. "It's not funny. Like I feel I'm like I'm gonna piss my pants with excitement," Imani said, looking at me. "Do people grind on each other?" Imani asked Marisa. "DO THEY?! Last year, Ms. Schuler tried to split up the circle, and she got grinded on," Marisa said laughing. "OMGEE! That's so cool! Now I'm even more excited!" Imani said squealing. "So you can't wait to back it up on someone, huh?" Kyla asked. "AM I?!" Imani said. "Are you guys working on the worksheet I passed out?" Mrs. Rennix asked. "Sure am Mrs. Rennix!" Imani lied. She didn't even have her name on it. "You better start it," I told her. She looked at me. "Ok, Dad," she mumbled. I chuckled. Just then, the bell rung, signaling for us to move to 8th period. "Keep your worksheets in your binders. We'll go over them on Monday," Mrs. Rennix said. Imani sighed in relief. I headed down to Mr. Strosser's class for Algebra. When I got there, I went and sat in my seat. Mr. Strosser wasn't in the class yet, so everyone was talking and fooling around. I slouched in my seat. Suddenly, I felt someone tap me on the shoulder from behind. I turned around and saw a girl. She was pretty. Looked mixed. Maybe Blexican. She had big, pretty brown eyes, thin pink lips, and and aquiline nose. Her dark brown hair was wavy, long, and thick. As were her eyelashes. Her eyebrows were slender and long. She had dimple piercings and her cartilage was pierced. She looked so... good. Great actually. "Hey, are you going to the dance?" she asked. "...Uhh... Yeah..." I said, not taking my eyes off of her. "Are you?" "Yeah," she said, showing her pearly whites. Her smile is gorgeous. "Oh my name's Alana. Alana Rodriguez," she said holding out her hand. "Jaden Smith," I said, taking it and shaking it (Lol that rhymes). "Ok class quiet down so we can get to work," Mr. Strosser said coming in. I let go of her hand and smiled at her. I turned around in my seat as Mr. Strosser began his lesson.

(On the bus ride home):

"Are you as excited as I am?" Imani asked. "You still talking about the dance?" I asked. "OF COURSE! This is gonna be the first experience of me getting to twerk on people," she screeched. We were listening to her iPod again. And "Flame (Just Cuz)" was on. My song. I smirked. "So you gonna twerk for me?" I asked moving closer to her and leaning in her ear. "Maybe, maybe not," she said smirking. "You might have to earn it," she said, rubbing her leg against mine. She's trying to tease me. Oh, so she wanna play? She knows I can play better. I placed my hand on her "area." It was warm and soft. She stopped rubbing her leg against mine and her eyes expanded. Then "Do Ya Like" by Childish Gambino came on. Right on time. With my free hand, I grabbed her hand and placed it on Young Smitto Jr. She hesitated before jerking her hand back. "Get ya hand off my pussy!" she said. Wow so blunt. I smirked. "And wipe that stupid smirk off ya face," she said. "Why'd you hesitate?" I asked, still smirking. "... Becausssse... I-I... Uhhh... Er... A... SHUT UP!" she said smiling and punching my arm. I just laughed. "Tell me... how'd it feel?" I asked. "YOU KNOW WHAT JADEN?" she yelled. "YOU KNOW WHAT IMANI?" I yelled, mocking her. "Fine. I gotchu," she said. A thought popped in my head. "Imani, do you know a girl named Alana Rodriguez?" I asked. I looked as her smile faded away. "You mean the school slut? Don't get me started on her. She's annoying as fuck. She's a slut, homewrecker, golddigger, everything in the book. I hate her the most out of all the 8th graders," Imani said. "She seemed nice and sweet," I said. "Trapping another victim I see," she mumbled, "Did you not listen to a word I said? Under all the beauty, she's a snake. A scheme. You know what I don't get? Even after all that she did, her personality and all, I don't understand why boys still give her the time of day." She looked disgusted and hurt, I don't even know why. "Listen Jaden. Promise me you'll never associate with her, she's bad news. Please," she pleaded. I just stared at her. I can't. It's wrong. "Please. Jaden. I'm begging you," she said. "... Fine," I said. "You will?" she asked. I nodded my head. "Thank you!" she said, hugging me. I hugged her back. "Hey, are you still sleeping over my house?" I asked, changing the subject. "Of course!" she said. "I feel bad," I said. "Why?" she asked. "What about your sister?" I said. "Um y'all barely had a conversation. Plus, she's sleeping over Gayle's house. And our friend Cheyenne's gonna be there..." she said. She looked sad. "Listen, if you don't wanna sleep over..." I said. "NO NO! I DO!" she said. "Good. Just so you know, my sister is having a little sleepover of her own," I said. "So she won't be joining us?" she asked. "That's right. But don't worry. I'm fun as hell," I said. "You better be," she said. Suddenly, my pants lit up. I must've got a text. I took my phone out my pocket. 1 new message. From Mateo. My buddy. He said: "Hey Jaden. Me and Moises are gonna be in Philly for a while. We were wondering if you wanted to hang tonight?" YES! THEY'RE HERE! THE CLICK IS HERE! OF COURSE I'M GONNA HANG WITH THEM! Wait. The dance is tonight. And Imani is sleeping over. I replied: "I can't. My school is having a dance." He replied: "Well why don't we come with you? And maybe we could sleep over your house?" I started cheesing. I looked at Imani, who was staring at me. I looked back down at my phone and replied: "GREAT! But I have a suprise for you guys. I think she'll like you guys." He replied: "Ooh Jaden has a girlfriend already?" I replied: "No but I like her a little bit." It was true. I like her. She's beautiful on the inside and out. She's cool. He replied: "Aw does Jaden have a wittle cwush on a girl?" I laughed and replied: "Yeah, whatever." We discussed what time they should be over my house and said our goodbyes. I looked up at Imani who was still staring at me. "What?" I asked. "Why were you looking at me when you were texting whoever you were texting?" she asked. "It's a surprise," I said. "I wanna know!" she said pouting. "You will," I said. We got off at our stop and walked home. "Are you changing clothes?" she asked. "Maybe," I said. We got to our houses. "Come here around 6:30, since the dance starts around 7," I said. She nodded her head and hugged me before walking in her house.
