(Meaning ‘ice’)

Adaptations: cold weather - north pole (can swim, not best at it)

Description: thick plated white scales; stores fat underneath (larger as a result); large talons have serrated pads on the bottom with claws facing down - grip on the ice; small fin on the end its tail

Abilities:
- creates large shards of ice by freezing and shooting water from its mouth, shot up to 9m above water and 3m underwater, needs to store water in a pouch in neck in order to create shards
- dilute the water and make it come out as a frost spray, causes severe frostbite
- hold breath underwater for up to 30 min

Vocals:
• deep, bellowing roar

Social: Very solitary, males are very aggressive and will attack essentially anything, mothers rear the young alone
