Leo's POV

Since today was Friday we decided that we would spend the weekend at camp. Since we had nothing to do we went to the beach. The girls were sitting on the beach while the guys were messing around in the water. I was setting fire to the rain which Percy was creating. Jason was chasing around this weird sea creature which was Frank. The girls were just sitting around laughing at our awesomeness.

We were just having a good time when one of the campers came up to us and said the Chiron wanted to see us. Percy dried us all off and we headed up to the big house. When we got inside I could see that Chiron was worried.

"Please have a seat children. I have something very important to discuss with you," Chiron said.

"What is it?" I butted in.

"Leo! Let Chiron finish talking!" Calypso said.

"As I was saying, I have a feeling that one of our campers has gone over to the enemy side. You may not know this but Noctis disappeared about a month ago. She didn't even tell Nox that she was leaving. We fear the worst," Chiron finished.

"Do you know if she is planning on attacking camp?" Percy asked.

"Do we know who the enemy is?" Annabeth asked.

Other questions like that were asked but I zoned out. At some point, someone grabbed my arm and started pulling me to the door.

As we were leaving the conch horn sounded signaling an attack.  We ran up the hill the see what was attacking. It wasn't anything that looked too bad. There was a cloaked figure and a pack of maybe 100 hellhounds. This would be easy.

We ran back to the armory to get armor and weapons. As quick as we could we ran back up the hill. The figure stood there and took off their hood. The person underneath was no other than Noctis. She gave us an evil smile and formed two black orbs of energy on her hands. She shot them right at us and we easily blocked them. She charged and so did her pack of hellhounds. We were fighting off monster after monster but more seemed to be coming. It had already been about 30 minutes since the attack started and we didn't seem to be getting anywhere. I looked to see how my friends were doing. Jason was fighting an empousa with his back towards me but he also had his back towards Noctis. She had an orb of pure dark energy forming in her hand.

"Jason look out!" I screamed.

"Wha-" he started but it was cut short.

I was too late.

The darkness hit in the heart and he crumpled to the ground. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Piper running up. She ran to Jason and dropped to her knees next to him. I could see that she was checking for a pulse. She let out this awful scream and then burst out crying. I could only assume the worst.

Jason Grace was dead.

She jumped to her feet and charged towards Noctis who had her back towards Piper. Piper was a foot away from Noctis when Noctis whipped around with a sword of pure darkness and plunged it through Piper. I saw Piper look down at the blade. The color was slowly leaving her face. When the sword was removed she crumpled to the ground.

Piper Mclean was dead.

I used this fury to push me harder. The battle was still raging but the monsters were slowly disappearing but so were the campers. Some people I wouldn't see and I assumed that they had probably died in battle. Come to think of it I hadn't seen Frank and Hazel. Later while I was fighting I found them. They were laying motionless side by side holding hands.

Frank Zhang was dead.

Hazel Levesque was dead.

I was overcome with grief but I continued to fight. I would not let their sacrifices be in vain. I ran to the center of the battle slicing monster after monster. I found Noctis. She was fighting Percy and Annabeth.

Percy and Annabeth were on defense and were unable to get any hits because so many balls of energy were coming at them. Annabeth lost her footing and falling. Noctis took this as an advantage and shot a ball of energy towards her. It was all a blur. Percy jumped in front of Annabeth to protect her. Annabeth was in hysterics. She was kneeling beside Percy's limp body.

Percy Jackson was dead.

I couldn't see through the tears. Suddenly there an orb of energy heading straight to Annabeth.

"Annabeth!" I frantically screamed.

It was no use.

Annabeth Chase was dead.

I charged at Noctis. I lit my self on fire and shot balls of fire at her. When one finally hit her she fell. She was disoriented and that was my chance. I took my sword and lit it on fire and then I ran it through her chest. Noctis had been defeated.

As Noctis slowly slipped away the monsters slowly turned back into golden dust.

We gathered our wounded and took them to the infirmary. The Apollo kids were running everywhere trying to save everyone. The dead were gathered. Tomorrow would be the shroud burning. As I was going through the dead, wounded, and living I realized that we were missing Nico, Thalia, and Calypso. I ran everywhere looking for them but it was a lost cause. They were gone. Now I had to tell Will about Nico.

I walked up to the infirmary and asked for Will.

"Hey man. What's wrong," Will said trying to be cheerful.

"Calypso is gone. I shouldn't have let her out of my sight," I said with tears running down my cheeks.

"I'm so sorry," he replied.

"That not the only thing," I stalled.

"Tell me," he said.

"Nico... Nico... is also missing," I cried.

I looked at Will. A single tear fell down his face before he ran back to the infirmary. From outside I could hear his muffled sobs. I ran as fast as I could to my cabin. When I got to my bed I lost it. I cried for Calypso and I cried for the seven. I cried till I was asleep. Dreamless sleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was at the burning. There were so many shrouds. The mood was depressing and many people were crying.
Calypso's shroud was the last to burn and I would be the one to burn it. I walked up and lit my finger on fire. I touched the shroud and watched as the flames slowly crept up the cloth and suddenly it was engulfed in flames. I was alone like I always would be. Everyone that gets close to me ends up dying. I was destined to be alone.
We had won the battle but at what cost.
