Y/N's pov

I heard a knock at my door and got up. I opened the door and saw Taylor walk in.

"Hey are you ok..you haven't called me."She said shutting the door as she followed me to my room.

"I'm sorry I've just been upset this past week." I said sniffling as I got into bed.

"You broke up with him didn't you." She said sitting next to me.

"..more like he broke up with me because he knew I was cheating.." i said sniffling as she stayed silent.

"..but didn't you want to break up with him?" She asked.

"..look I love you..I was going to leave him for you..but I did love him too..he was a good guy..I did want to leave him..but he hates me now..I wanted to stay friends..I didn't want to hurt him that way." I said sniffling.

"Hey..look he was hurt but you said it..you wanted to be friends." She said.

"What's your point." I said glaring.

"..call him." She said sighing.

"I tried that." I said glaring and looking away.

"Let me see." She said sighing as she grabbed my phone.

"What are you doing." I asked.

"He won't answer your caller ID lets see if he answers this." She said before dialing in a number and putting the phone on speaker as it began to ring.

"Hello..." Joseph's voice cautiously came out.

"Hello Mr. Joseph I have an important caller wanting to talk to you on an urgent matter" she said before handing the phone to me.

"Joseph.."I asked as I heard a long sigh as Taylor smiled faintly walking out.

"Joseph look..I didn't want things to go down that way." I said as he stayed silent.

"Look hate me all you want but I still do care and love you...you were more than a boyfriend, you were my best friend and I wanted to tell you that I don't want that to change..I want to remain friends because I don't think we're meant for each other that way.." I said as silence remained.

"Joseph..?" I asked waiting for a reply.

"Y/N..I love you...and maybe you're right..we did start off as good friends and maybe we didn't end up soulmates like in the movies but ..maybe we were just good as friends." He said.

"So are we good..?" I asked.

"..yeah." He said chuckling slightly.

"Thanks..I'm sorry."I said sighing.

"It's fine..I'm sorry about the way I acted when we fought." He said.

"I'll see you around then?" I asked smiling lightly.

"Sure see ya around campus loser..and stop missing classes the professor is starting to get pissed off." He said as we both laughed and said our goodbyes.

I set my phone down and walked out where Taylor was standing in the kitchen on her phone.

"So..?"She asked.

"It went good..thank you." I said smiling lightly as she looked up at my returning the slight smile.

"And I have an answer to your question.."I said as she looked at me confused.

"And that is.." I said stepping close,"I will marry you." I said as she smiled and pressed her lips onto mine wrapping her arms around me.

Our lips moved in sync as we smiled in between.

"Nothing is getting in our way.." I said smiling leaning my forehead against her.
