Chapter 15: Happy Reunions

***Percy's POV***

"I planned it all along," I tell Annabeth. "It was my genius plan to win you back. I know you could never resist me when you thought I was dead. That's when I'm most attractive."

"Shut up Seaweed Brain," she says, slapping me on the arm, but her smile says otherwise.

"Sorry, I just know you too well."

"I'm just glad I got you back."

"But I don't deserve you Annabeth," I say, turning serious. "How can you trust me? I don't even trust me. All I wanted was a chance to talk and I have come up with no excuse for my behavior. I'm just sorry." I feel tears starting to form and look down at our entwined hands. "You're too good for me."

"Percy," she calls and lifts up my face, "I'm not too good for you. I need you more than you know. I might be smarter than you and you might need me for everything but really. I couldn't live without you. Of course I forgive you. I wanted to so badly. It just hurt, but when I saw what you left me and realized how much you loved me," a tear slid down her cheek and she swallowed, "I couldn't sit by and let something happen to you. I couldn't live with myself if I knew you were hurt and I had done nothing to help."

"I wish I could say the same. I don't want to hurt you but I have," I turn away. "I've hurt you too much."

"I would forgive you for anything," she says. When she kisses me I feel all of her love and passion and I know that I can be forgiven. I give myself to her and give my love to her.

"I love you," I whisper.

"I love you too," she replies, "but we really need to go to dinner or we will get in trouble."

"I don't want to leave you," I tell her.

"Maybe after dinner I can come to your cabin after dinner and we can... Catch up," she says with a sly smile.

"I think I would like that," I say back.

"Percy. Come on. We have to go now," her smile presses against my cheek.

"All right," I groan and hand in hand we walk to dinner, happy for the first time in forever.

************

There are a lot of 'ooos' and 'awws' as we walk in. Mostly from the Aphrodite table. I notice that Piper still isn't there and instantly feel guilty for not checking on Jason. Annabeth flushes and pecks me on the cheek before scurrying off to sit with her siblings.

I know that I must look insane with a grin this big, I just don't care. I have Annabeth back, nothing could ever be wrong again. I run off to find Jason.

He lies in the infirmary still sleeping, still alive. "Hey Piper. How is he?"

She looks at me with big red eyes. "Oh Percy. I'm so glad you're okay. Jason's good. Frank brought the flower here and Will is working on making it into a cure, I'm just really scared for him."

"He's a fighter Pipes, don't worry about him," I assure her while sitting down and rubbing her back.

"Ah, Percy. Nice to see you. Heard you had a run in with my father," Will says, walking in and winking.

"I sure did. It's nice to see you man. Got anything for Jason yet?"

"Yep. Right here," is Will's answer as he holds up a goblet filled with dark liquid that has orange and yellow stripes just like the Starstreak flower.

"Oh Will," Piper sobs, "thank you."

Will begins to force feed Jason the drink and his eyelids flutter. With a little more coaxing he wakes with a start trying and failing to sit up. "Jason!" Yells Piper, throwing herself on top of him. "Oh Jason! I missed you so much! Don't you dare ever leave me again!"

"Can't breathe," chokes Jason.

"I'm sorry," says Piper, "I just was so worried about you. You could have been dead!"

"Don't worry. I'm not."

"Oh shut up," she says and kisses him.

"Oh stop it please, my eyes are burning," I complain.

Jason looks up, "It's nice to see you man."

"Yeah," I say with a smile, "you too."

Piper eyes dance with unasked questions and curiosity, probably about Annabeth and I. Of course, it's hard to remember that she is a daughter of Aphrodite and her mother is, well she's Aphrodite. I know, genius statement right there. Anyways, I just ignore her odd looks, I'll tell her later. Right now we have to be happy for Jason.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. What happened exactly?"

Piper chuckles, "I'll tell you the whole story later. You need to take it easy for now. We should get you back to your cabin."

"All right. But first," he grabs her and kisses her hard on the mouth, "I missed you."

"I think that's my cue to leave. I'll catch up with you guys later. Great to see you again," I call while walking out.

"Bye Perce!" Calls Jason back.

As I walk through camp I put my hands in my pockets and find a piece of paper. All it has on it is a few words.

"So you got the girl

With some special help from me

Now what will you do?"

Who would have guessed, Apollo left me a haiku. Yippee. "Okay Apollo," I say. "We'll find out what I will do. It has to be perfect," I pause. "Wait. Oh nope. That is six syllables. Well too bad. I'm a rebel." Going to find the perfect thing for a perfect date, I grin like an idiot and I don't care.

{AN: sorry. I'm bad at writing this happy go lucky times. I'm better at sad and death things. I'm odd. Today was my last day of school and it's just nonstop party. Hope you guys are out of school too. I promise to update more often now that I have no ugly school. Blegh. Have a nice day 😃😃😃😃😃}

And also. Since I suck at poetry it was easy to write Apollos bad haiku. You can be jealous of my awful poetry skills
