My alarm clock went off. It was seven-fifty AM sharp. I groaned and hit the clock repeatedly until it shut the fuck up. I wanted to go back to sleep very badly. People say follow your dreams, well maybe sleeping is my dream. Ever thought of that?
I sat up and rubbed my tired brown eyes. I got out of bed and went to my closet. I grabbed a plain black spaghetti-strapped undershirt and put it on. I then put on a black hoodie that had a triangle on it outlined in white and the inside of it was galaxy themed. I put on some black jeans and got my white Chuck Taylor's. I brushed my black hair that went to my rib cage and put it in a simple side braid.
I didn't wear any make up because I just didn't like make up. I'll wear mascara here and there along with some foundation, but not every single day like some of these girls do.
I grabbed my black and gray checkered backpack off from the floor and headed to the restroom. I brushed my teeth then went downstairs into the kitchen.
"Are you excited? It's your first day of senior year!"
I scoffed. "I've done this too many times to be excited. Besides, it's probably going to be another shitty high school."
My mom sighed. "Okay, Iris. Just try to make some friends and don't get into trouble."
"No promises."
She laughed. She pulled me in for a hug and kiss my head. I didn't hug back. I hate being touched; I wasn't a hugger. It bothered me a lot, and if it was anyone else I would've gone off on them.
I knew we had to leave now or else I would be late. "Come on Mom, let's go."

"Everyone, we have a new student," the teacher announced. She was a tall and pretty woman. She had black hair that curled at the bottom, wore leather boots that went up past her ankles and added to her already tall figure, and her brown skin was flawless. I wouldn't be surprised if the guys liked her.
"Please," she told me, "introduce yourself. I'm Ms.Williams by the way."
I looked at the class. I could easily spot out the fake girls, mostly known as skanks. I saw the few shy people in the back and then some cocky guys in the back too. There were the people who just didn't care and didn't pay attention at all. I only saw three people who didn't look all that bad.
"I'm Iris," I mumbled after a few seconds.
"Ah, Iris. I hope you will be able to catch up on what we have learned." She looked around the room and pointed to a seat next to a brunette boy with tan skin and emerald green eyes. "You can sit next to Eren."
I sat down next to this Eren kid and he gave me a smile. I just looked at him with a blank expression and gave him a nod. I then faced the front and listened to the teacher.
"Hey," the kid whispered. I moved my head to the side and looked at him again.
"What?"
"Well, I'm Eren," he stated quietly with a smile. I just nodded. "Behind me is Mikasa and next to her is Armin."
Mikasa had black hair that came to her shoulders. She had pale skin but was still tanner than me. She had eyes that looked black. But looking at them longer, I saw a little blue.
I turned around and looked at Armin for a second then turned to the front that way I wouldn't get in trouble.
Quite honestly, I didn't know if they were a boy or a girl. They had blonde hair that came to their ears. The hair was long, but shorter than Mikasa's. They also had pale skin.
