"You actually look pretty good with a baby, Jace", Clary said, around a wide smile.

He smiled knowingly, though still rather uncomfortable looking. "Also, Alec, I'm not trying to be rude but-" her thought was interrupted by Magnus, as he strut Into the room like he owned the building, which he almost technically did. Clary knew it was a rough transition for Magnus to move into a Clave-owned property. But she was ninety percent sure it was because he was a Downworlder. And ten percent because he was sleeping with the man who ran said property.

Magnus stood with his hands on his hips taking in the doorway of the weapons room, taking in the scene before him. The baby had long since ceased it's murderous screech, though it did continue crying, and it began to reach for Alec once more. Jace looked uncomfortable holding the crying thing, trying to shush it. Clary stood by Alec, laughing.

Alec had stopped laughing when Magnus walked in.

Magnus rubbed at his temples. "Really, Alexander?",he asked mockingly. Alec flushed. "I didn't ASK for it, Magnus!" "She","Jace intervened.

"Shut up, Jace", said both Alec and Magnus. They smiled. "Jace", Magnus called,"Baby. Now" He heard the Shadowhunter boy scoff lightly.

"Please?", he asked almost sarcastically, then proceeded to fold his arms and, rather impatiently, tap his foot. Jace crossed the room and handed her over gingerly to Magnus.

"Don't give that look," Magnus scowled. "What look?", asked Jace incredulously. "The 'Magus is going to drop the baby' look", he frowned. "I was giving you no such look", Jace defended,"I was giving you the 'Magnus is going to kill the baby' look", but Magnus still took hold of her.

"Aren't you a pretty little thing?",Magnus said in a high-pitched voice, throwing her in the air and catching her again. Alec stiffened again and said,"'Magnus, I don't think you should-", he was cut off by Magnus gasp. "ALEC," he shouted. "Don't yell, please. She'll scream bloody murder again," Clary explained, that the baby hadn't liked yelling.

"Everyone shut up!", he said loudly rather than yelling. "What is it then, Magnus?", Alec questioned. "Her eyes, Alexander", he said amazed yet, scared? Magnus actually sounded scared. "What about her eyes? They're whitish-gray", he said confused, but Magnus grabbed hold of his chin and forced him to look at the child square in the face.

Clary heard Alec suck in his breath and whisper,"By the Angel". Jace, who had gone to stand next to Clary, after having the baby taken away, stared wonderingly. "What is it? What've you done to her, warlock?", he asked accusingly. "I have do to nothing to her, Herondale", he said narrowing his eyes at Jace.

"Look", Alec whispered and walked toward his parabatai, baby in arms. "I don't see what the big fuss is all-", Clary started but upon seeing the baby she quickly stopped. Clary had to admit she was a beautiful creature, with eyes a shade darker than Alec's, but Clary had thought it a coincidence. Not only Alec can have blue eyes, she had thought. Now, though, she saw that they were no longer blue, they were the exact shade of green-gold that the warlock had. Like a cat's, black slit down the middle and all.

"What the hell?",Jace exclaimed. "What the hell? Her eyes were nearly white just a second ago" Eyes all white except for the black ring around her irises and her black pupils. "Wait, what? White?", Clary asked nobody in particular. "I thought her eyes were supposed to be blue!"
