Bright blue eyes looked longingly at the gate, anxiously waiting for the ring to light up and Forrest to walk through with the others unharmed. While the humans around him reassured him that it would be any time, it felt like it dragged on for ages. He once again had taken his spot on the balcony, his head resting on the bars as his tail hung slightly off the edge. It was hard to explain to these people, how hard of a time it was waiting for her. 26 years was a long time to be bonded mind and soul to someone, and not being able to feel that connection for any reason left him with an empty feeling. He worried like a parent because that was the role he pretty much played in Forrest's life. He had watched her grow into who she is now, taken care of her and been there every step of the way. While it pained him and excited him all the same time, his little sister now had a much better life ahead of her. Yet how hard it was, to not be her sole protector anymore. His experience with Forrest was not all happiness; he had grown weary of others. He had made it his charge, to keep her safe from the people of her world, she was too good for it. A uniqueness like hers was a rare occurrence in her people, even for Loonrian doctors' empathy and kindness was rare, only numbers counted. The dragons were the balance that, so to say. The emotional side of the logical race. For Castiel, being around the people of this city made him feel like he was among his own kind. Maybe that was why he felt he could trust them to look out for Forrest. She had such a sense of adventure, and curiosity that sometimes was her own undoing, yet, he trusted Carson and Tayla alike to hopefully ensure that his partner's wanderlust did not get her into trouble.

"Any time Cas." Elizabeth's voice causing his ears to spin around backward, hearing her footfalls as she walked to stand next to him. "I agree with Colonel Sheppard; we will not separate you two again next time." She had always thought that the team members were loyal to one another, but even then the dragon's loyalty to Forrest was impressive and unwavering. As she stood next to him, he glanced over, quickly writing. 'I thank you for that. While I have managed, I would not like to repeat this.' She finished reading as the gate began to glow to life, watching as it started to connect. Before she could say anything, Castiel bounded over the railing, landing on the gate room floor in a cat-like fashion before happily sitting down. It made her smile, to see how excited he seemed to become at the idea of her being home in seconds. She could not help but wonder, what it was like. To be able to feel the emotions and thoughts of another being. Forrest had explained before that it takes time for bonds to become as deep as the one she had with Castiel. How many relationships at first, will only feel emotions passed between one another. Over time, words will start to form, soon a full blow conversations. It left her slightly annoyed that Carson had not yet tried to figure out how the bond even happened or worked. Then again he had spent half his time these past two weeks arguing with Colonel Sheppard.

The gate roared to life, the shields dropping quickly when the IDC was received. Elizabeth watching carefully, wanting to see how the reunion before her would play out. Yet soon enough, a vest came through the gate, quickly followed by two more and a few firearms. Then some of the medical kits they had taken with them. As soon as they came through, the gate hissed out of existence. Elizabeth's stomach dropped, as she spun around to walk down onto the floor from the control room. She watched as Castiel walked forward slowly, sniffing the vests before picking one up lightly into his paws. Looking at it closely before looking to Elizabeth. Those human-like eyes showing a deep and agonizing fear as she met them. Something had gone wrong, very wrong. "Colonel Sheppard, gather your team and Lorne's and meet me in the conference room now." She called it into the radio, while heads nervously looked down at the dragon that stood holding the vest Forrest had been using. "Castiel, I do not know what to tell you right now." He was silent, as he sat on the gate room floor clutching the vest tightly in his paws. His eyes watched her, as she turned and walked quickly up the stairs and towards the conference room.
