They understood that no one wanted to be around them
The night engulfed them in their slumber
In the morning kids laughed and played outside
While all they remember is that their only friend died
Imaginary friends disappear
The mind matures
But they weren't ready to let go that year
So they cried out for their friend
Thinking that they'd be together until the end
Boy, were they wrong
They had nowhere to belong
It was back to the room
Where they would consume
The loneliness that killed their spirit
Imaginary Friends were still whispering
Yet only they could hear it

A/N: I'm finally getting inspired again, and I'm like really happy for that. I think I'm just gonna leave the meaning of the poems out, because there are different ways that people can interpret them, so this one'll be interesting to hear about.
