AT HOME…..
Michael are you guys ready to play outside?
Dina; But Michael. Mommy has us take a nap every day after school and snack for an hour.
Sharon: Yeah if we have no homework and if we do then it’s a half hour.
Michael; Oh. well, are you tired?
Sharon; No. Can we play instead if we are quiet.
Michael; Umm.. okay sure I don’t see the harm in that. Smiling
Dina; Yay!! She says jumping up and down.
Sharon; Let’s go!! She turns to go out and then stops.
Dina; We have to wash our hands first after we ate our snack
Michael; Why? You hands are clean right? Michael didn’t understand the purpose of that. As he watched the children he noticed other small things he thought were a bit odd. But it wasn’t his place to say. However, if he was going to watch them and be their babysitter he would add and change somethings just a bit for the children to help them grow and be the best adults they can be.
Sharon; It’s what our mommy said is the right thing to do. Smiling she skips off to wash her hands
Dina; Michael are you making dinner tonight for us too?
Michael; I sure am. Smiling
Dina; Oh. She smiles and goes and plays outside in the back yard.
Michael: I’ll call you in in 2 hours just be careful and play nice with each other okay?
Sharon; We will Michael!! The girls giggled
Over the next two hours the girls played well together outside and since they were playing so nicely together Michael decided to give them another hour and would just check on them from time to time. Michael finished the laundry and got their clothes ready for in the morning for them and put dinner on. He was making lasagna for the girls with salad and soup. Even set up things for their mother so when she came home she could rest a bit too.
Michael; Girls!! Dina!! Sharon!! Come on it’s time. I let you play an extra hour because you were playing so nicely together. Smiling
Sharon; Thank you Michael
Dina; Thank you but we can’t tell mommy she may get mad.
Michael frowning. Mad? Why?
Sharon; Because you let us play 3 hours and not 2. she looked down.
Michael; Oh, well, let me handle that with your mommy okay?
