The next few days were like a whirlwind. Michael would just be showing up at the house and April would be dashing out of the house. When she came home it was the same. She was exhausted. Michael really was concerned for her. At the school dropping off the children each day was becoming very uncomfortable. Ms. Smith’s advances were really making him uneasy and he did not want the girls walking far to get into the gate nor was he going to allow them to get out of the car by themselves. He loved playing chauffeur to them and in his heart he wanted to be so much more. Pushing those thoughts away he took the girls to school and like clockwork was Ms. Smith and her unwanted advancements. Michael decided as much as he hated to do it. It was time to let the school know what was happening.
Michael; walking into the office. Excuse me, may speak with the principle please?
Office clerk; Well, Mr. Bray is in a meeting with another parent at the moment. Would you like to wait?
Michael; Yes. Please. He took a seat and thanked her.
Office Clerk; You are welcome Mr…umm.. Mr.
Michael; Jackson. Smiling
Office Clerk; You are welcome Mr. Jackson. Smiling pleasantly back.
When the principle came out of his office with the other parents he was very friendly and was about to go back into his office when the office clerk got his attention.
Office Clerk; Mr. Bray sir?!
Mr. Bray; Yes Ms. Paulson
Ms. Paulson: There is a Mr. Jackson here to speak to you. It seems rather important.
Mr. Bray okay. I will speak with him. Thank you. He smiles and turns his attention on Michael. Walking over to him. Mr. Jackson?
Michael; standing up. Yes, smiling
Mr. Bray: extending his hand to shake it. I am Mr. Bray. The school principle. How can I help you?
Mr. Jackson; Well, I, I really don’t know where to start or how to explain this but to say it.
Mr. Bray; Well, let’s come into my office and we can discuss the issues that concern you. Smiling and directing him to his office.
Michael; Okay thank you. I do agree that would but more beneficial. Smiling in return.
Once inside Mr. Bray’s office and seated Michael layed out what had been going on with Ms. Smith. At first Mr. Bray was in disbelief and then mild shock. Michael explained that it wasn’t personal but he did not appreciate the advances and wish very much for them to stop.
Mr. Bray; I am very sorry this has happened to you. I will speak with her. But I want to observe her too and see exactly what and how so I know how to address all the issues at hand and the ones you have brought to my attention.. frowning still in shock at the information he had been given.
Michael; I appreciate that.smiling slightly
Mr. Bray; And who are your children Mr. Jackson?
Michael; licking his lips. Well, they are not actually my children. I am the baby sitter. I work for their mother hired from Next Of Kin Babysitting Agency. Their mother is Ms Bradley and its Dina and Sharon Bradley two twin little girls, well behaved children. Smiling
Mr. Bray; A male babysitter, that is unusal. But the world is changing. Smiles slightly. Okay I will keep an eye out and see how things are. Thank you again for bringing this to my attention.
The two men parted said their goodbyes and Michael shook Mr. Bray’s hands. Then he left to head to the house. He had things to do for April before the children got home. After he arrived at the house it wasn’t but 30 minutes the door bell rang and Michael went to the door.
Stacy; April I- Oh!! she was shocked. I-I am sorry. I was looking for April Bradley?
Michael; Smiling. Yes, well she is at work. May I be of some service?
Stacy blushing, I ah- I wanted to bring her pot roast bowl back and her utensils and thank her for allowing me to borrow them a bit longer than I meant to. She couldn’t take her eyes off of him. And you are?? She asked quizzically.
Michael; opening the screen door. I am Mr. Jackson, Michael Jackson. The children’s baby sitter. Smiling and taking the pan from Stacy.
Stacy; Oh! Oh! She did call them I’m glad!! So they have male babysitters? I wasn’t aware of that.
Michael: Oh it was you who referred her to them. I have to thank you for that, umm.. on behalf of the agency of course. He said but was thinking thank you for bring the love of my life to me. Actually the agency only has 3 male babysitters I am one of the 3. smiling again.
Stacy; Well, I am glad you were hired and happy that April called them to start with. She really was stressing over her children and what was going to happen or what she was going to do.
Michael. Well I am glad I could help her out. Oh, you can call me Michael if you’d like. I’m pretty informal. smiling friendly
Stacy; Oh. okay …Michael.. Thank you. Will you tell April I dropped off her pot roast pan please and to call me?
Michael; Sure will. Thank you Stacy. It’s nice to meet you.
Stacy; Thank you Michael. Bye. She smiles and hurries away.
At the school, Michael picks up the girls and true to form again, Ms. Smith comes out making sure she makes contact with Michael. Michael tries to be nice and pleasant but inside he is seething mad. She purposely made like to fall so Michael would have no choice but to catch her. Ms. Smith makes sure to touch him and brush his crotch. Michael puts her away from him quickly. Angry at her but still man enough to show nothing but respect and kindness. Mr. Bray, the school principle watched what was happening and he was embarrassed for the school and himself. He really had not believed that one of their teachers could be so rude and unprofessional as Ms Smith and Michael had said. When Michael left with the girls he also saw what she did sexually towards him behind his back. This disgusted Mr. Bray. He walked back to the office and called the school board and told them exactly what he had been told and he witnessed. It turned out that she had 7 sexual harassment suits for 4 different schoosl in the past. The school board agreed to send out an investigator to watch her for a few days and see exactly what her actions were. This is grounds for termination especially after all the warnings already. The fines and moving her from school to school to keep from more problems arising against the schools.
