Hello people,
It has been a long time since I posted something in this book and althrough it has been finished for quite a while, I still read every comment. I have some things I want to say:
1. I am working on a new story (yes I know I say this often, but trust me its comming). The updates should start somewhere in the beginning of august.
2. I am going to edit this book in the upcoming months. The level of English I now poses is a lot higher then I did when I was sixteen.
3. This is the actual reason I'm writing this now. This one is actually mainly for my fellow Dutchies, who I know are with a lot, but the rest of you please don't skip this eather. So my fellow Dutchies will know that in the Netherlands a new law about organdonation has been accepted. For everyone else I will give you a quick explanation. In the old system it was automaticly assumed you didn't want to donate your organs when you passed away, you could let it be recorded that you wanted to donate them, but you automatically said no. Under the new system you automatically say no problem, I want to stress that it says no problem not yes, and you can easily change it to no. The new bill was passed because their was a shortage of donororgans.
This is very important to me. I was born 18 years ago with a genetic illness which mate my kidneys fail when I was 6 weeks old. I was on the waiting list for a transplant kidney for 4 and a half years before I finally got one in the summer of 2004, in the mean time I was stuck in the hospitl a lot of the time. I can tell yoou that is no way to live for a toddler. The shortage in organs has only grown since then.
Since I got my kidney almost 14 years ago, I have been triving. I am almost done with highschool, I'm starting uni in september and I'm traveling the world. All of that I have only been able to do since 2004 and I would not be able to do without my kidney.
Now I'm writing this for two reasons the first one is that, a movement has been started to force referendum on the issue, not to stop the law, but just to punnish a political party, this law will only be the victum of the punnishment.
The second reason I'm writing this is to ask the once of you that are over the age of majority in your respective countries to register your choice, even if that is no. Please don't think I want you to die so others can have your organs because that would be complete bullsh*t, I just want you to register so your loved once can have clearety and if you deside to donate your organs, some people can finally go on with their lives. One last thing please don't think I am not gonna die soon and because of thzt don't register, you can just as easily die in a traffic accident when your eighteen as eighty.
